That is... unwise, to say the least.
I am talking not just the same rights, I am talking same responsibilities and same expectations as well.
Military recruitment, for example.
Sure, such things are present. But in the places where such happen, things are... unbalanced. And even there, such "equality" is not complete.

And in ED, we are quite naturally getting a full-on PvE game with such treatment.

You make them all the time and Goose was the one who said they were "silly" but apparently only if Robert, I or others who disagree with you and him say them. And You are the one who says pretty much that equality doesn't exist. And it should be "So you Think treating Men and Women equally is a bad thing?" Not sure how that don't made it in there.

If nothing will come out out of this situation at all, and carebears with hikkies would successfully murder the fun of PvP people yet again by whining about this so favoured for them equality, I would uninstall the game for good.

Would like equal pay first, equal chances for advancement, etc... but as you say things can't be equal. Thankfully many other people think that view is antiquated.
Equal to their efforts and the complexity of such? Sure.
Actually giving the same for lesser capabilities and efforts, be it for human male or female, would be unfair, innit? And it would steadily remove the reasons to improve oneself.
