You made a comment and I asked a question using a real life reference as you have a habit of doing... so if there is sexism, it wasn't from the question but was it from the answer?

Having no moustaches in cosmetics hurts my immersion alot. I am a big fan of Charlie Chaplin, and I fail to see why I cannot cosplay him with the tools presented. In fact, I should post a relevant to this proposal into suggestions.

There really was no way to avoid politics in this, because at the root of it are two very different and mutually exclusive ideologies around which all arguments orbit. When it comes to analogies we've touched on everything from collective bargaining to slavery. That's a pretty wide gamut. Why not, throw in sexism too.

At the end of the day FDev has nothing to lose with any decision they make, and I love this game too much to let this PowerPlay change to hinder my play. I'm still buying things on the Frontier Store because regardless this is still the best space sim going.

If nothing will come out out of this situation at all, and carebears with hikkies would successfully murder the fun of PvP people yet again by whining about this so favoured for them equality, I would uninstall the game for good.

Btw, proposal in the op still is relevant. In fact, when PP will become Open only, it will become even more so, as risk would somewhat increase, although a bit indirectly. While the pay will not change anywhere. And people would still grind in the solo.

I honestly fail to see how else Open can be made into viable game mode, meaning for it to be as efficient as any other game mode for every type of activity.
