There is a food chain in elite dangerous. Respect it. or Die.
You need to accept those facts.
Not only is there not a food chain, there are several ways to ignore troublesome players too.

The deer that is slowest gets caught. They don't need to be amazing runners, just faster than the slowest other deer.
And competitive PvE is very much a thing. Consider the Elite ranks for example![]()
I miss the smiley, or are you serious about that?
Very true as a Warlock in World of Warcraft. I was number 1 on the server in gearscore, And we competed in DPS numbers on recount. The reason we did that was to be the BEST GUILD on the server. We ended up competing with other guilds to climb to the top.
This is way different than what we have here though. People are intentionally PVEing against one another by attacking player systems. Thats where PVP should be enabled.
Yeah, I am. Come out to open and find out![]()

While I agree that open is open, you learn to survive or private group, the phrase 'git gud' is grating not only on the eyes, but my brain actively lashes out at those who speak it. So I agree with your point, That90skid, but not with your delivery. Telling someone to google 'Survival in open' isn't all that taxing. Git gud is something I would actively throat punch someone for IRL.
As to PvE, the only realization of it in Elite, as a competitive notion, is BGS. I don't even do BGS very often, however I believe all BGS influence should be reduced by 95% or so if you are in solo or private group.
"Don't make me not punish you... cuz I will. I SO will..."Why should I? To get killed? You would kill me, no doubt.
But I am apex-PVE-predator,
deliverer of a hundred-forty-thousand tonnes of relief material to Oracle and Malthus,
I scanned 101 obelisks of the guardians,
I fly prismatic shielded in mobius and am master of FAon.
I don't have to prove myself against your superior skills, as I am playing a GAME to have FUN. Respect that or I leave you alone in open...

Sad as it is, I seriously get pet peeved by things of that ilk... why I don't leave the house much. Prison would soooo kill my free time to play Elite.Where can we meet up? Im ready to be throat punched.
And salt on french fries...Death is optional in ED, like PVP and mode choice.
Thats where PVP should be enabled.

It's still not that game. After your bedtime, while you are at school/college or just simply through different ping times and instances this sort of play is not really possible.
The game is not going to be rewritten so that it is for the sake of a few.

The Bartle Test of Gamer Psychology
You are 100% Explorer
What Bartle says:
♠ Explorers delight in having the game expose its internal machinations to them. They try progressively esoteric actions in wild, out-of-the-way places, looking for interesting features (ie. bugs) and figuring out how things work. Scoring points may be necessary to enter some next phase of exploration, but it's tedious, and anyone with half a brain can do it. Killing is quicker, and might be a constructive exercise in its own right, but it causes too much hassle in the long run if the deceased return to seek retribution. Socialising can be informative as a source of new ideas to try out, but most of what people say is irrelevant or old hat. The real fun comes only from discovery, and making the most complete set of maps in existence.

Christ 90s, how many times can you keep trotting out that nearly year old video, jesus.
Because it proves the point. People are using it to their advantage to attack other players. He knows hed be stopped if he came out to open play. But instead because they decided to UA bomb us we had no choice but to farm materials.
Just like Doves Enigma, if the game were different people could blockade a system, use a manifest scanner on people, And actually give pvp meaning to this game besides griefing.
Or do you want it to stay the way it is now?
