Dodge what? The fact that I don't agree with him? That would seem to be self evident as far as I'm concerned. Mostly I just wanted to point out to him that I no longer have the respect for him to actually engage his points with my own in some kind of measured exchange of ideas, since he quoted me and then proceed to engage in the time honored tradition of obfuscation and stirring up mud to cloud the water. And you know what, Mouse? I don't really care if you think that they're baseless. You'll note that he dried up and went away without any kind of quick comeback, right?

I stand by my original point: Fdev had a plan, and have either shelved it or delayed it largely due to how much flack they'd get from what I do actually consider a minority in the community. There aren't very many of you guys, but you make enough noise for ten people each.

Well, you said you won't engage me (What? Afraid? They don't call this the Elite: Dangerous forums for nothing! Fite me! :D). But why not simply say "I disagree, but let's leave it at that" instead of making accusations?

It would be interesting to see exactly what you disagree with though.... that PvPers will do PP hauling of goods? Of if OOPP fails they won't look for someone to blame? Oh come on! They will either blame FD, or combat loggers, or Mobius (somehow!). There again, it might not fail, it might be a huge success. We will only get to see that if it happens.

All i can say from my side is, I won't touch PP with a 10' pole of disarming unless there are much more interesting changes to it than simply making it open only. If i could mine for Torval, if i could explore for Li Yong, if i could cook for Mahon... and most importantly, have a dynamic powerplay where new powers can rise and old powers can fall, then that might be interesting.

I've no interest in playing a never ending game of Risk.

Saying that you don't agree with someone is one thing, but that isn't what you did. You instead accused him of trying to "bait you" and then, while admitting you had no proof whatsoever, accused him of trying to get you thrown off the forums. And your original point is horse crap.. Fdev HAS, not had, a plan and they are following it and it has been neither shelved or delayed. Sometimes they feel like altering it slightly and now Sandros tested some other waters on a possible alteration and got feedback... you claim we are a minority and we scream so loud we make enough noise for 10 people... yet it was the Open Only crowd who had to be told repeatedly by Sandros and others... "No". No they will not be going Open Only, No this is just Power Play, NO the BGS will not be affected...no, No, NO! And still post after post of rabid Open Only people demanded That since Sandros considered making Power Play Open Only that EVERYTHING had to be. As soon as the lid to that Pandora's Box was cracked open the Open Only crowd went into a feeding frenzy and showed it's true colors. So blame us who have supported Fdev's original plan from the beginning all you want, but the true blame for not getting what you wanted lays squarely with those who showed FDev why the mode system is still such a good idea.

" What.. was he supposed to just sit at his computer, wait for you to eventually see his comment and then reply to you instantly? When he sees your comment he will reply, or he may not.... but the notion that since he didn't reply with a quick come back "validates" your accusation is pure 100% bull manure.

And the 'plan' as you call it came from another, slightly louder minority moaning at FD, otherwise they'd of not even pretended to 'review' a situation they were obviously happy with before the PPOO complaints.

It is disingenuous to claim that the idea was from the dev's and resisted by a section of the community, when in fact it came from a sub-set of pvp focused players; who on every live-stream, forum debate etc. try and get FD to change fundamental game design to be more pvp-lead.

Our group is quiet right now (RL issues dealing with work, health, etc.) I am talking to some of the BGS folks I know and most are saying the BGS changes are really related to seeing into the black box not making to many changes to how the BGS works...

I'm not hearing anyone checking whether one mode has more input than another....but can pass it on to the BGS thread in beta...
