Option turn off cockpit movement/shaking

Think different games affect different people.. i am fine on this and have been on all others for 25 years :) apart from one...

...Wolfenstein for the xbox one, had the head bobbing and after 10 minutes i wanted to do a chunderfest... really weird... only game ever to have done it to me.

Thought it was way too much at first, over time kinda gotten used to it. Still have to look away when fuel scooping sometimes as the shake can get soo violent. It's never made me feel sick though, not like that water section in Half Life 2 did, that was major chunder-fest for me.

I do wonder however what that constant shaking is doing to our eyesight long term, its kinda like generating an artificial astigmatism.
I would certainly vote for the option to either reduce or turn off the effect. I'd prob go with the reduce option.

I normally don't have a problem with the shaking, however after longer play sessions the shaking gets very tiresome to the point where I feel nauseated.
Having an option to at least turn it down would be very much appreciated! Pretty please FD?

If motion sickness bothers you stay away from the Lakon Type 7. Holy crap this thing makes the screen shake so much that I never even really noticed with the other ships. This ship makes me want to vomit when piloting it, that's how much motion sickness it causes with the screen shake.

I also toss in my vote to reduce this effect a lot or have the ability to turn it off. If FD doesn't give this to us I might have to sell this ship or hope someone makes an anti-screen shake mod.

I've been asking for that since Alpha 1.0. The official answer is that they won't do it - it's a cinematic choice.

I've managed to mitigate it in the following ways however:

1) TrackIR (or I guess the EDTracker) - because you can look around and move your eyepoint yourself, the effect is reduced largely.

2) The Rift/DK2 - it doesn't happen in the Rift.

3) Change your field of view. On my tripleheaded 16:9 setup (5040x1080), it means the hud is almost half off the screen during deceleration or manoeuvring. Changing the FOV slider to max didn't help either. I found that changing the FOV in the Settings.xml (I added 5 to it), resulted in the hud being "back" further (by virtue of the larger view), so that it now doesn't move off screen, and that it's less of a problem. I no longer want to put my fist through the monitor for example :)

Try the FOV adjustment and see if that helps :)

So what you are saying is FD saw it suitable to hamper the view of those without such devices just for cinematic reasons........Much like the dirt on the cockpit canopy, completely unnecessary and makes you think there's a little toddler running around the dev team going...."lookie, lookie at my artistic work. I know it's annoying but ain't it pretty." Even a new piece of cockpit glass comes with pre-smeared dirt across it..........

The only thing that really irks me is that the 'eyepoint' in the ship moves cutting off parts of the HUD during maneuvers. I shouldn't need a multi-hundred dollar VR device to get around this >.<

^^^ This. I never really minded the effect before - aside from the thing where you speed up and can no longer see important bits of the HUD (and yet you can press shift to put it back temporarily? Weird), that's annoying - but my goodness, the Type 7 shakes all over the place. Too much, in my humble opinion.
