Orange Beams (Livery Weapon Color)

I'm surprised that orange is missing from the available colors that we can apply to our weapons in the Livery. Because, you know:

Assuming it isn't trademarked, please consider adding this color. I want my phasers (cough, I mean orange beam lasers) :D

ps - while you are at it, give us an option for a non-orange HUD, so that these orange beams stand out ;)

You can change the hud color. You can look up how to do so. There is also a 3rd party site that'll show you how to.

Oh, I see the issue... That is the Patented "Tang" beam. Gotta pay to use it. Also, you have to carry Tang to fire it...

I'm more of a TOS phaser type fan :) . But I'd agree certainly the weapon colors could use more colors of the spectrum particularly orange.

Also, an interesting note comparing Star Trek weapon lore to ED's mechanics. ED's lasers are fairly weak compared to Star Trek phasers. Hand phasers can shoot a few MW comparable to ED ship lasers, while Trek ship phasers are said to be at the gigawatt or even terawatt level. In FFE, the biggest laser was 1 GW only mountable on panther clipper and the thargoid energy beams were presumably far stronger, maybe on par with Trek ship phasers.

All modern weaponry is either on par, or superior to their ED counterparts. Tomahawk Cruise missile carried 450kg of HE, with a thermal yeild averaging 10Mj/kg. Comparatively, its of a similar size to ED missiles.
Some anti tank rounds from a 125mm cannon can generate near 2000Mj of impact energy. Makes ones head hurt, no? Lol.

Just great not only we console users are stuck with orange dashboard that we are permanently stuck with, but to add orange laser beam as well, I'm starting turn orange as well like a umper lumper.

This weekend I saw a CMDR with bright ORANGE lasers, just like in the OP! I asked him where he got those, and he told be that beams with the thermal conduit mod are orange. The funny thing is, I actually fly a Vulture with thermal conduit beams, but I've always had livery color turned on, so I never knew they defaulted to true orange!

Here's a screenshot (note - the screenshot doesn't quite capture the "orange glow" that I see on my gaming monitor).

I think that livery colours for lasers are a bad idea in any case. Laser colour as a function of their modifications or enhancements is valid, but otherwise no.
