If you exactly follow the steps in the opening post you can't go wrong.

The instructions didn't say, copy the shaderfixes to the game folder, the instructions say copy the "folder" called shaderfixes to the game folder, there's a distinct but subtle difference there. We are just trying to find out if you followed the instructions properly, your reply seems a little ambiguous.

I followed the steps exactly, and now the game crashes upon launch. I expect it's because I'm playing on Linux.
I use it on Linux/NVIDIA for a year or too, all is ok.
This apparently no longer works as of the 18.08 update as their "fix" has fixed it, but has a glitch turning it off only takes effect after a jump to the next system. Sigh. I have uninstalled the 3dmigoto files
I liked that Fdev finally fixed this. And I hope the remaining issues are resolved soon
The same thing happened to me on my Linux-based HTPC (all AMD). I didn't look into it beyond that because that's not my primary ED PC. The primary PC has an NVidia card, so no need there.
and hopefully the damned shadow flicker

Still at 4k + 2.25x DLDSR they do look a lot better!
I think I actually prefer the orbit lines thicc like this, tbh.
