A while back, I heard about Osiris New Dawn and it looked like an interesting game. It's a sci-fi game where the story is that you've crash landed on an alien planet and you have to survive all the dangers. When I first looked at it, I thought that was it, not much more than an alien planet and fighting monsters. But it's not true, it's also base building, some space ship flying, multiple planets, and in the latest update now you have space base building as well. So out of curiosity and because of the plethora of issues with the release of a Odyssey, I tried it out, and it's actually quite good. Since it's an early release, there are some bugs here and there, but fewer than Odyssey ;). Anyway, you can play solo, private world (persistent), or start a public world. One of my sons got the game too (because I suggested it), and we started our own little world, and we had a lot of fun. Some of the issues were some alien crabs were stuck in their animation, dropped out of server connection (so what, I'm used to it now), and issues having a 3Dconnexion mouse. Just wanted to throw a blurb about this game out there if other players like me need a break from the breaking Odyssey.

Note, think of it like No Man's Sky, but less cartoony, and a few handcrafted planets only, and more survival demanding.
