Another possibility would be a medium sized Saud Kruger design. This would hold especially true if we are going to get atmospheric flight (I hope). Going to need a fancy ship to handle those VIP passengers, and no one does it better than Saud Kruger. Call it the Manatee.

I've been wanting to see the Constrictor added to ED for years... though I'm not getting my hopes up. If it does get added in Update 19 or 20, it will be somewhat late to the party since the Thargoid war will be all but over (apparently), but better late than never. Of all the ships in Elite and Frontier that could be added to ED, this has always been my number 1 choice.

There are the gimmes that have already been mentioned (Panther, medium SK and Gutamaya ships, a large-pad counterpart to the Chieftain family, etc...), so I'll mention some other ones that haven't come up yet.
Panther was mentioned, but what about the other cats from FE2? Lion, Tiger and Puma rarely get mentioned and would make good alternatives to the Lakon T-series as trading vessels (my head cannon puts them as having more firepower and general survivability at the cost of flight performance and a higher price point).
Gecko was briefly mentioned as a possible candidate for a medium ship, but what about introducing it as a Vulture alternative (especially if it looks like a mini-Mamba courtesy of ZP)?
Constrictor was also mentioned as a candidate for a combat ship, but I'll suggest putting it in the role of a small multirole (possibly as an analogue to the Cobra IV).
I suggested adding the Boa as a Python-Anaconda love child (smaller large pad ship with stats roughly halfway between the two) ages ago, and I'll suggest it again here.
