Bruh. (Or Sir if you prefer.) I have spent too much actual human currency on this game to be without otters at this point.
Like dude.

Where are they at? Y'all have the technology.

We just need them. As a community. I love this game and I keep buying the packs to support it but I need my Otters.

Honestly... just going through a rough time and Otters make everything better.

Otters are the cough syrup to my soul.

Specifically Asian Short Clawed Otters. Sea Otters are problematic (besides the hand holding they do bad things to baby seals and dolphins. Google it to ruin your day.) Also giant Otters are kinda angry and that's not the vibe I'm going for.

Y'all have got to get these amazing intelligent fun loving babies into your game.
Please. I promise I wouldn't dedicate an entire zoo to a massive Otter sanctuary and refer to it as therapy.

That's a lie. I'm sorry. But Sandbox me would play 24/7.

p.s lovelies forgot to mention they are endangered and need cheerleaders. Beautiful, intelligent, tool-using, playful, family orientated, and blowing the minds of scientists with their ability to smell underwater using bubbles.
If you ever needed a spokesperson, Hermione Granger was granted an otter as her patronus.

pp.s The illegal and immoral exotic pet trade of otters needs to be exposed. They are beautiful but should be left in the wild if possible or in captivity to protect them <3

I'd rather wait until we know for certain whether Frontier can add in underwater navigation. Part of the magic of otters is seeing them frolic under the water.

Failing that, I would love to see them included in the future. Otters, like meerkats, are a staple of zoo collections, and their absence from the game is seriously conspicuous to me.

I support this open letter and will drink to otters on this night. If there is only one otter species to make into Planet Zoo, the Asian Short Clawed Otters also have my vote, However letter write I do implore you to drink another bottle of wine and reconsider a place in your heart for the Giant Otters, they can be quite fun as well, in their own giant way.

You're certainly playing it quite fast and loose having a thread with that title on these forums... ;)

I would just like to say though, there's nothing wrong with Lutra Lutra :) They're especially great when you get the chance to see them in the wild.

I should say at this point that I don't agree with Open Letters, but this is more of a plea than anything else so I will say that Asian Short-clawed Otters are the second best species of Otter and definitely deserve a place in the game ;) I adopted one (though 3 different ones due to them passing away) at my local zoo for 7 years and during that time I got to know the keepers very well and learn even more about what are, my favourite animal. Small, cute, very sociable, loud and quite impatient when it comes to feeding time :D

Now to be fair underwater mechanics might not be as big a concern because Asian short-clawed Otters actually spend less of their time hunting by swimming that other Otters mainly because they hunt in shallow creeks, rivers and estuaries for crustaceans. Rather than chasing after fish (though they do eat them) and catching them with their mouths, they actually feel with their paws to locate and catch their prey. That's the main reason why you'll notice that their webbing is different to other species.

Anyhow, yes Otters please :)

See, that os the perfect reason why we should get asian small clawed otter :D Easier to implement. (I'm honest, though I would be happy about any otter, this one is by far my most wanted. They are a staple in zoos of north germany.)

Definitely agree otters and penguins got to be the most requested animals in the community. Otters please also.
