Out For A Quiet Sunday Stroll

Ah right, soz to have killed the party spirit, guess i'd be doing the exact same thing if i was in alpha..

As for the bank - should've taken your Bronze swimming certificate, that'd dazzle 'em. Even better if you still have the patch sewn onto your old Speedos. Whip that outa yer briefcase, bam! impression? made.

Oh my bad, so he could've used FSD, but didn't feel like it? Or has it not been implemented yet? I thought that was what makes the high-pitched whiny noise? Just having difficulty understanding why someone would spend eight hours doing something that'd take minutes or seconds in past Elites..

I'd be excited at discovering a new moon too if it took that long to get anywhere!

Not implemented yet no, but much of your post was aimed at the time consumed by doing what Zarkon did and a critique of the slow speeds that ED appeared to use. I was illustrating that in the final release, your concerns wouldn't be applicable.

Hmm, maybe it was just an April Fools joke. I tried to retrace my steps, in the hope of flying around the other 2 moons to get closer to the smaller one, but I couldn't get the glitch to repeat itself. So either it was a one time thing, FD fixed it so it can't be found again, or I imagined the whole thing. Maybe I did photoshop the images and just don't remember doing it.
There goes all my awards.

Just a quick update: One of my goals was to investigate the three strange moons, and fly closer to the smaller one for a better look. I was hoping I'd get to it before Alpha 4 started, because those worlds might never be seen again.

Iota Cruxis - Moon B

I still have no idea what those moons are supposed to be, but I'm guessing I stumbled into one of the developer's secret proto-typing studios. I bet Slartibartfast is still kicking himself for not deleting his work space before the last alpha build was released. :D
