I had plenty of fuel to go to a new galaxy. Went there and flew around for ages and found only a big planet but no space stations anywhere. Now when i go to navigate menu there isn't anywhere i can jump to, so im running out of fuel and have no where to get any from, 1 bar left. So what can i do now?

Self destruct, and as soon as you get back to station buy a fuel scoop for 300 so you can fuel for the stars
Oh. So i have to blow myself up? If i do that how am i going to get back to the station in just my space suite
You will respawn in a new ship! If you bought things for the ship you owe a little bit of insurance.... If you're still flying in the starter ship you will respawnn with a free one again! Then go to outfitting, internal, take off your discovery scanner or cargo rack, and equip the 300cr fuel scoop, and you can skim stars for fuel just don't get too close or let your heat reach 150% or you blow up

Distress beacon was removed wasn't it? Instead it should just be an option that appears on screen to buy fuel at a higher price.
You might be right, I've not run out of fuel, either way, he should check if its there or not.
I like that idea better than blowing myself up. Now to find the distress beacon button thing.
As someone already metioned, you can make a distress call and a ship will come in to sell you fuel ( at a higher cost than normal ) and i would advise fitting a fuel scopp to skim fuel from stars if you think you might be travelling a few jumps out from whatever base you are stationed at as many systems will not have a station in them.
To make a distress cal you must open the panel on the right and in one of those menus if you scroll down you should find the distress call button, sorry i cant remember offhand which tab on the right it is.

There's no distress beacons, removed after fuel scoops came. Self destruct is the easy way out. You know you can see what's in the system on the system map right?
For exploring you don't need weapons, and rarely shield. Just get a good fuel scoop after you get some credits and start with the 300 credit one.

their is no distyress button, if you out of feul you dead, its a harsd place, space. distress button has been removed the guy telling you that ius either trolling or not up to date

I have found the self destruct button, but not the beacon one. So it may have been taken out as mentioned. I will wait until i actually run out of fuel and see if it does something automatically. As for shields and lasers, well i have just pottered around and have been attacked lots of times for reasons i don't understand yet. Usually i get some interdiction thing and then after something shoots at me but its to dark and fast to see what it is. Im not wanted or have fugutive stuff, im a good citizen
but people or things still shoot me. So i jsy press c or j and hope i get away.Those bastarrd pirates. I need to find a miner I can follow around and protect from pirates

It then gave me 2 choices, 1 was the free space ship back at where you started out in the begining & the other was your old one back with all its fixtures minus any cargo and cartography for a fee, in this case of 900 credits, but i was a bit short and it loaned me some? Insurance maybe? Looks like i have to pay it back somehow, but meanwhile it takes a 10% cut on all sorts. Anyway, I have 1000 credits, and am at a space station that kits spaceships out, but i can't find a fuel scoop mentioned in the station services part. i have two spare mount points and if i click to add something it offers me all sorts of very costly items like special scanner or interdiction stuff, but i dont see fuel scoops. Can someone point me in the right direction?
That's impossible. There's only one galaxy in the game, and that's the Milky Way galaxy.
