Does seem a lot like "role playing nerds" seeing as it's widely recognised that SPEAR's anti-gank tactics are universally a failure at achieving their goals. Even when you're patrolling a system people have great fun ganking under your noses to prod the beast. Hell, people that want to pick a big fight with SPEAR go out of their way to publicise a high profile ganking spree to trigger a response. Almost like SPEAR's presence or absence is a catalyst for more ganking, rather than an effective preventative measure. So seeing as the results of SPEARs practical activity are wholly contra to SPEARs stated goals, one must assume that the main enjoyment of being in SPEAR is the same enjoyment one gets as a "role playing nerd".

well done with killing solo anaconda with 12 ships! Btw I didn't gank in deciat like your allies from GANK and stayed in pvp hub for arranged fights for months. Was attacked by spear commanders when was going to Farseer on unarmed! ship to engineer FSD for combat one. So finally you station ganked it with 3 wings and premiums...with failing to block station entrance with 3 cutters. gg. Totally lawful gameplay.
