Do not ask me how I did it. All I can say is that I had to use the unstuck option.
Outsmarted by a Brain tree

Obiviously a big brain tree.
Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt...
Usually was before I realised that I didn't need to jump the SRV up to get a stuck mat... Other times a bad landing while flyving...
I'd like to know anybody who's tried to get raw materials from them and hasn't gotten stuck on a brain tree trying to recover a drop that itself got lodged in one.
Though I think the last time I even visited brain trees was when I roamed Guardian space with my alt for the blueprints and decided to visit said trees as well alongside. It made for a surprisingly pleasant experience.
I've gotten myself temporarily stuck in brain trees a few times, but thankfully I've been able to wiggle my way out that predicament every time so far.
In Odyssey I found I can get the SRV unstuck by disembarking then reembarking. Learned that one from a similar experience in the Spire Barnacles...
Last time I got my SRV stuck it wouldn't let me out. I think this happens if the SRV is too tilted relative to the surface and/or has too many wheels off the ground.
I'm not even going to ask how!
Huh. Then I might be misremembering what happened; maybe I in fact was able to get out, but also wasn't able to get the SRV unstuck so mentally filed the event under "pointless actions under the circumstances" and forgot I could even do that.
Based on your replies, I think we should start a "how did that happen" thread where we can post such screenshots.

In my case, the tree grabbed me, while I was driving past it. I swear!
I didn’t think to take a screenshot of it at the time, but once I managed to perfectly balance a Scorpion on its nose - completely unintentionally - such that it would neither fall forward nor backward.
I’ve yet to replicate that.
