So I read about waiting until the 4th week, paying 100k, buying 10 of the industrial equipment until you get to the 750 merit points, would you have to wait till the 4th week? Why not do that right off the get go? Also, where is this 750 merit points shown so we can track it?
So I might have an issue here. After logging over two months in one power, I accumulated a whooping 3 merit points, how in the hell am I going to get to 750 in 4 weeks. Oh and by the way, the main base in Lembava has no Industrial Equipment for sale!!

Not sure the best grind method, I presume if you search for "grind merits li yong rui" you can find a pretty decent video or guide. I'm at work right now so I can't dedicate a lot of time myself.
Your accumulated merits deteriorate weekly, pledge, and then after 3 weeks grind for an hour or two and voila.
Video may be a little spicy so beware.

The usual modus operandi for PP modules is to wait until the day before the PP cylce and then haul enough stuff to fortify some random system for the PP faction to get the 750 merits in one go. If you use a large cargo vessel like T-9 or Cutter, it should be doable in a single run (or two at most)
OP, unless you don't do combat at all (which I guess is not the case since you're after rocket launchers 
), go for killing ships instead of boring-as-hell clicking stuff and hauling it. 30 merits for a kill and targets often fly in wings. Much more fun, similar amount of time, the same result.

Powerplay merits are halved every week, so if you did the 750 in week 1, you'd only have 187 in week 3, which wouldn't give you level 3 in week 4 or 94 the following week. I seem to remember that I once did it in week 3 and was able to buy the weapon in week 4. Can someone confirm if that's the case?
I had no idea this even existed before I started. So, good to know. Not sure if halving your credits each week is very fair though, as it does take some time to get them in the first place and not what I want to do every single week to keep them up.

The halving is no problem because you only need to get the level 3 once, for which you need to get the 750 merits the week before. As soon as you have the level 3, you can buy all the packhounds you want and put them in storage to use when you want. in the same week, your merits go down to 375, but you don't need the level 3 for the next week because you already have your packhounds.
i have the correct amounts and am waiting for week 4 to collect, i bought all the merits first day i joined why not,but are they that good ,fun to have , my opinion,they are not that clever,still others may think otherwise,over to you,07 cmdrs

There are two requirements. You must be signed up for 28 days; and you must be level 3 at the time of purchase, wich happens on the Thursday after you get 750 merits and it lasts for one week.
