Pack Hunting related contracts

Pack hunting is still one of the coolest spectacles to see in Jurassic World Evolution 2, I still remember when a storm hit my park in Germany and I had the ingenious idea to place the dilophosaurus enclosure next to the amargasaurus enclosure. All it took was the gate between them to malfunction for the dilophosaurs to make quick work of the small sauropod.

This mechanic is awesome to see in disaster situations, as it showcases how deadly and well-coordinated some of the small carnivores are. However, if you attempt to keep your park as safe as possible, you barely see the pack hunting mechanic to occur.

I think a nice compromise is if we were to be given contracts that would either have us form a deadly pack of small carnivores, or facilitate a pack hunt. I think it would be cool if we were to get contracts such as "Have a velociraptor pack of at least 4 members take down 1 parasaurolophus" or "Have a pack of small carnivores exceed x number in the attack" or "Have 3 torosaurs pack hunted" or "have 5x members in an atrociraptor pack".

Such contracts could work similarly to the ones that would have players facilitate a fight between dinosaurs, it will be a nice icebreaker to create a situation where you get to pocket and observe a bit of chaos in your parks. Moreso, fulfilling such contracts early on may mean you incubate a pack of dangerous small carnivores before the proper security research is done.

They could also consider it a Combat contract.

Are you not concerned with dromaeosaurs getting injured from killing a larger prey in a pack?

Honestly, in the third level of Chaos Theory, it is nuts to see a pack of Velociraptor taking down a Spinosaurus.

It doesn't bother me in particular, I want to experiment and see how capable small carnivore species could handle prey.

It could be a gradual curiosity to see how they handle prey as small as hadrosaurs to large carnivores and sauropods, it will be inevitable that some pack hunters are better than others and it would be a nice incentive to see how strong the species are, how many members are needed, and if additional gene modifications are needed.

In Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, I have seen Velociraptor got injured from killing larger prey such as beef cattle, Styracosaurus, and Stegosaurus. When large carnivores and Spinosaurus are in vicinity, they flee.

I honestly do not want the same to occur in Jurassic World: Evolution 2.

After some time with the game, yeah, the combat contracts would only pit dinosaurs that are capable of fighting against each other.

I still think hunting and pack hunting related contracts would be fun to have. It is morbid but it allows players to make a choice earning a bit more of an income and be able to witness the hunting animations more often at the expense of the prey dinosaurs.
