Paleobotanic bug?

In this game we don't have herbivore feeders, ok. Instead the herbivores are suposed to eat "their preffered tipe of plants" bassed on the paleobotanic system, right?

The problem is that the herbivores in fact can eat all types of plants in an enclosure even if it's not their preffered one. For example if a dinossaur likes ground fiber but in the same enclosure are present ground nuts it will eat the ground nuts anyway, wich makes no sense at all.

Because of this, it's imposible to keep different groups of dinos in the same enclosure, because they end eating all the different plants and end mixed all together.

It's this a bug? are you going to fix it? or are you aware of it?

Many animals in real life work the same way. Elephants and Rhino's for example eat any plants they come across. But we also have animals like you said, that only eats specific plants or fruits. So I believe it should be a balance. The big herbivores should eat everything, while the smaller ones should be picky.

The thing is that all herbivores eat all so the paleobotanic system needs in this game are useless... i think this is a non intended feature or a bad implementation

Hi there! The Paleobotany system is set up so you can cater your enclosures to the different types of dinosaurs. If they don't have their preferred food and surroundings they'll be unhappy and uncomfortable, which could lead to them breaking out or fighting.
