Ships Panther Clipper Mk 2 is an UTTER DISGRACE! Not even 2x the Type-9 or Clipper...

After seeing the Galnet news for June 25th, all I can say is: A little over 1400 tons of cargo space?!?! REALLY, FRONTIER?!?!

The original Panther Clipper had 2000+, and this DOWNGRADE has barely over 1400?!?! WTH are you thinking? We wanted this to CUT the ungodly SLOG (especially for those of us having to do it alone) that is Colonization, and you toss out this piece of trash that is an affront to the original, both in name and capacity?!?!

JFC, give us the original overgrown Kellback that was the Panther Clipper - at least THAT had a proper cargo capacity befitting the size and name!

Glad I didn't purchase any ARX in anticipation of this disappointment of a ship....

Still a disgrace and STILL not worth the purchase - newer versions should be UPGRADES of previous versions, not CRIPPLED downgrades!

I don't care if the original was a box with 2 thrusters glued to each side - it HELD A FREAKING PLANET'S WORTH OF CARGO!

Frontier, you've got a month - add another "Cargo Optimized" Level 8 Optional Internal slot so it can at least get CLOSE to the original's total cargo capacity!

In all honesty haven't seen the live stream but was expecting around the 1500 Mark due to the Fsd overcharge functionality but yeah I was hoping for a bit more but hey it's nearly double a cutter so an improvement. It was never gonna be a gazillion tonnes so you could build a coriolis in one go there has to be a balance, but yeah would have appreciated a bit more North of 1500 or so. Still means I can build a small/medium settlement or outpost a lot quicker than before and as I haven't seen the live stream sure it maybe fun to fly 😉

The original Panther Clipper had 2000+,
Which in the FE2 outfitting design included space that in Elite Dangerous is moved to Core, Hardpoints or Utility slots.

So yes, the Panther Clipper could carry 2000t of cargo ... if you fitted it without a hyperdrive or fuel, without any shields, without any weapons (in FE2 you couldn't just "evade the interdiction" or "boost then low wake", you actually had to destroy the attackers), etc.

1200-1400t was an entirely normal amount of cargo for the FE2 Panther Clipper to be able to carry if you wanted it to also be able to carry that cargo successfully between two stations in different system. (And even then you'd be compromising on "not even one small plasma accelerator?")

I don't care about "fun to fly" - I cared about cargo capacity, and the original had 2000+, so I expected THIS one, the "upgrade", to have that much AT LEAST....

Really? Then why does the Jameson Crash Site exist? Why is there an engineer who is a descendent of Jameson? Why is there a JAMESON MEMORIAL if it does not have the very same MC that existed in the SAME GAME that the OG Panther Clipper came from?

I love it when people ignore information that disproves the outlandish claims they've made 😂

Have you flown a Panther Clipper in Frontier: Elite 2, with 2000+ tonnes of cargo?

I'll answer the question for you. No you haven't. Because you can't, because it wouldn't have a hyperdrive. 1400t with a Class 8 drive and a 13Ly jump range is what you would have flown. And that's with nothing else, so no transporting live animals for you :)

Oh come on, you and your facts. Let's enjoy a good rage in peace!
