@Para Handy Hope you can read this. My in game chat is either a) obtuse b) not worklng or c) I can't figure out how it works. Doing a /reply or /direct just displays to local.

Didn't mean to ignore your message. I did try to DM you on the forum but it says I'm not allowed to.

One mistake I make from time to time is selecting a message I sent to the other player to reply to, not one he sent to me. I see his name there and highlight it and hit space to select, type my message and it goes to local. Not saying this is your issue, but something to watch for. You must select one of his messages to you.

If you are tabbing over to Social or whichever one it is, selecting the commander and choosing 'direct message' and it doesn't work, then not sure what could cause that.

Hmm. I'm typing /r {then my message} but that just goes local. I tried /direct para handy {then my message} and that went local too. I seem to have ben able to send a message to him from the ED main menu though which is really odd.

You can try using the cursor keys (arrow keys) to highlight his last message, then hit space and type your reply. See if the results are any different?

I didn't even know you could use /r. Thanks gents!
