Park "decorations" are one of the few suggestions I have seen a few times in the past. Recently, I have been thinking of a way of how decorations could work, after experiencing the era system myself, while also incorporating elements from a previous related dead thread I posted here last year.
What I mean by decorations, I don't mean any object used merely for scenery looks like rocks or signs or stuff like that, as in-game. I mean actual park decorations, fountains and statues for example. Like the sign and scenery objects, I would imagine the decorations having their own tab. After all, there is enough space in the menu bar for another tab option of some kind.
Some examples of such park decor I could find in Jurassic World itself were:
1. Small sculptures on main street. Some I can;t make out, but one of them was an amber sculpture, which was later destroyed in the final battle scene.
2. Several artificial plant beds with trees or shrubs. The game already has plenty of these, but they're restricted to just building entity details.
3. One such statue exists in the Innovation Center of the films: The Hammond Memorial. Now, because it's an inside building thing in the movies, I'm sure it can somehow still be made as an outdoor statue if decided.
4. Perhaps the most eye catching outdoor decoration in Jurassic World is the spinosaurus skeleton, which was later destroyed in the final battle scene.
Now, what I listed as examples would be perfect for the JW setting, and there are plenty of options I could think of for the era. But, what about the JP era setting? For that setting, perhaps there should be less, as there's hardly a few I could think of besides plant beds (as those are present in-game for some of your buildings) and maybe one or two fountains, combined with the thought you won't really need a lot of space to make a really complex visitor area like you would in a JW setting, something I noticed after experiencing what the JP setting for the JP campaign was like myself. Statues? Well... there kinda is something I could think of for that.
1. In Jurassic Park, there are the two mounted skeleton sculptures of a t.rex and alamosaurus inside the Visitor Center. Just like how the Hammond Memorial could be an outdoor thing for the game, as it is a fairly memorable detail in the films and so were the skeletons in the first one, as they did serve big roles in that film, maybe they could become outdoor things as well, albeit as one entity? I really don't know. Just throwing some random idea thoughts here.
What about purpose? Well, they could be the same as the signs and scenery objects, in that they don't do anything at all, other than just making your parks look prettier. Or, if they are decided to have an actual purpose, and this is from that old dead thread I mentioned above, here's what I think they could do (at least for some): Maybe they can have a system in which if you place them near by visitor management facilities, they can help you get an extra bonus raise in cash income, just like how in Lucia Inc.'s Jurassic Park Builder and Jurassic World: The Game, decorations help you earn more coins from facilities and dinosaurs if their radius reaches both of them.
Any other ideas?
