Hello Frontier,
This post is to discuss the future of park management that many players (including myself) would like to see. Throughout all of your recent updates, the heavy influence of dinosaurs and Jurassic Park & Jurassic World IP has been current. However, the overall management of the park is lacking. I think the updates need to start gearing towards the guests of the park. There is a need to be detail-oriented at this point in the game. Furthermore, I do not think that a sequel to this game is needed. Jurassic World Evolution just needs refinement updates.
1. Attraction Buildings
This has probably been brought up multiple times; the park attraction buildings need to be expanded a little bit more with options. I think it goes without saying that the two most featured rides needed for the game are an ariel and water ride. The attractions themselves lift the player's enjoyment of watching an attraction do a set path they have chosen.
2. Guest Happiness
Much like any theme park or zoo, there should be a guest rating system and happiness within the game. Something that tells the player they are doing a fantastic or sloppy job by the visitors. This can be easily remedied with five things:
3. Weather Radar
I think that not being able to see the weather forecast in Jurassic World Evolution is ridiculous. This is a park management game. Being able to see the weather or incoming weather is essential for running a park. The weather forecast only needs to display the current weather and future weather patterns for the next 6-12 hours of in-game time. However, I think the player would enjoy an actual weather radar. Something that updates constantly and can be viewed; giving that more future look and feel to the game.
4. Power Improvement
Power cables and power lines are a great balancing problem for hazardous weather. However, when there is no hazardous weather, the power lines are really irritating to see. I feel like the park guests should also have a mechanic that if they see power lines, the happiness is brought down (or park rating). How often do you go to a zoo or amusement park and see power lines stretched across an exhibit or ride?
Animations for the guests in Jurassic World Evolution have served the purpose to have them walk around and occasionally point at things. These animations are included to the staff members as well. However, there are no improvements to these animations and they are lacking style.
6. Magazine/Website
This is the last feature that needs to be implemented and used to promote your park in Jurassic World Evolution. The way this can be handled is simple, create a generic magazine panel or website that the player can open and review. The only thing the player needs to do is set up pictures of their own and place them inside the magazine or website that has preordained photo segments. Taking photos with the ranger vehicle and having them graded for their quality allows players to enjoy taking photographs altogether. This also promotes players to engage in photography more, while promoting their park on superficial media. The photos that the player takes can be saved and deleted for their enjoyment of building a popular park. The better the photo quality, the higher the ranking of their park will be based on the magazine or website.
Please be sure to review and look over the details that I have provided. I want this game to be successful, fun, and enjoyable. There is potential, but key things are lacking from making this game legendary. I hope this information helps with the future of the game.

This post is to discuss the future of park management that many players (including myself) would like to see.
A. Rides
- Ariel
- The ariel ride can be a hot air balloon or a helicopter joyride. Gliding across the sky, these types of attractions excite guests as well as players.
- Aquatic
- The water attraction is none other than a boat ride. Much like the updated Universal theme park ride, a boat ride along a river or waterfront is something that most people enjoy going on.
B. Buildings
- Viewing Dome
- The viewing platforms are nice, but how about a viewing dome that goes underground and allows you to be inside the dinosaur enclosure? Giving the player more options to keep park visitors safe and closing the distance from a platform to a ground-based view is a unique option.
- Petting Zoo
- Petting zoos exist in zoos. Not only that, but Jurassic World has showcased that this is possible. Whether or not Jurassic World Evolution will look into this is questionable, however, I think players would be happy to see a petting zoo attraction building.
2. Guest Happiness
Much like any theme park or zoo, there should be a guest rating system and happiness within the game. Something that tells the player they are doing a fantastic or sloppy job by the visitors. This can be easily remedied with five things:
A. Park Decor
Guests like seeing the attractions, but how about some decor? A "theme" to an area or areas for the park. We as players know that the game is a "dinosaur" themed game, but there is no decor to place down.
- Statues
- A statue of a dinosaur skeleton, John Hammond, a small replica of something dinosaur-esque and anything in between. Going to a theme park, a guest would like to see some cool things while not looking at the attractions (animals). This includes the player when they are creating an atmosphere for their park.
- Fountains
- Large or small, fountains are a beautiful aspect of anyone's relaxation. Putting a statue of something within a fountain is also an exciting thing to gaze upon. Fountains are also a great milestone feature within a park to help begin a park or find a half-way point.
- Flowers
- Why are there not any flower-like plants to place down? I think adding color to the green grass and trees would be a nice touch along with some fountains or statues.
B. Guest Trinkets
When you go to a zoo or amusement park, usually there are some people wearing clothing or holding purchased items while walking around that represents the park. Jurassic World Evolution lacks that kind of flare. Guests walking around the park all kind of wear the same thing and never represent Jurassic World (or Jurassic Park).
- Balloons
- How about some balloons? Dinosaur shaped balloon or just a simple balloon with the Jurassic Park or Jurassic World logo on them.
- Apparel
- Hats, shirts, and bags are all things to consider with another Jurassic Park & Jurassic World logo on them. You do not necessarily need to put the logo on them, even a simple "JP" and "JW" works well.
- Weather Gear
- When it rains, usually people buy ponchos, umbrellas, or raincoats. However, guests within Jurassic World Evolution just get pelted by the rain like nothing is happening to them. I think any player would like to see the park guests shift to that kind of apparel quickly when the rain comes down. Umbrellas can even be used by some guests while walking around when there is no rain. Making the weather gear themed after Jurassic Park or Jurassic World would be even better.
C. Resting Areas
People get tired of walking around for long periods of time. This goes without saying, but one of the biggest left out things in Jurassic World Evolution is benches. Somewhere people can sit and rest for a bit.
- Park Benches
- Park benches should be placed along the path that the player wishes. Being able to customize the locations within the park for people to sit is a game dynamic.
- Resting Zones
- These should be building structures for guests to come in and rest outside. Allowing multiple seating arrangements in a large space. However, there can be a smaller area with little seating to place within the park if there is not enough room for a large resting zone. Restaurants, bars, the bowling alley, and any building that has some sort of seating can be tied to this.
D. Parades & Tours
The recent update with Universal's theme park attraction for Jurassic World has presented guests with a small tour or parade of a dinosaur walking around the park premises. The dinosaur (people inside a costume) are led by a park ranger and have guests interact with the dinosaur. The age of the animal is juvenile, which makes the dinosaur easier to manage and walk around the streets. I think Jurassic World Evolution could use that; making the guests happy to see a dinosaur walking amongst themselves. Kind of like a mascot.
E. Liter and Trash
Let's be honest, having many people in one place can really add to the waste and liter of the location. Yet, in Jurassic World Evolution, we never see the guests leave any trash or waste lying on the pathways. Hiring staff to clean the pathways, placing trash cans (much like benches), and managing clean up as a player are all things included with park management. The staff can be just like the parades & tours; going around and cleaning the park in the place of the player.
Happiness within a park is contingent upon the success of the park. With park decor, guest trinkets, parades, resting areas, and waste management being in Jurassic World Evolution, players can set up their park with passion and excitement. Based on where players set these things up, the mechanic of the guest's happiness can increase or decrease over the course of their building process.
A. Underground Substation Boxes
Along with the power line substation boxes, there should be underground power line substation boxes. These boxes should be costly because of the expense of digging and placing a cable underground. Plus, the player is avoiding the repair costs of future weather hazards. Connecting underground cables should be cost-effective; the longer distance a cable extends, plus the placement of a substation, the more expensive it should be.
B. Backup Generator
A backup generator is essential for theme parks. Especially, for a park management game involving prehistoric animals. This should be an attachment or feature that the player pays to ensure that their power stays on if something damages the power plant, cables, or substations. The backup generator should only last between 10-12 minutes before shutting down. The cost of the backup generator should be expensive as well, since the thing should recharge itself after the main power is restored.
5. Guest AnimationsAnimations for the guests in Jurassic World Evolution have served the purpose to have them walk around and occasionally point at things. These animations are included to the staff members as well. However, there are no improvements to these animations and they are lacking style.
A. Entering and Exiting Buildings
The animations for guests to enter and exit buildings is to simply keep walking or running and avoid using the door. Since they can magically merge through the door without having to worry about the door ever being there. I think this is really jarring to see after Jurassic World Evolution has been out for more than a year.
B. Checking a Map/Phone
The animation for a park guest(s) to take second and look at a map or their phone is not unheard of or seen. Having a group of guests stop and look at something together is what happens in an actual zoo or amusement park.
C. Chatting and Talking
Similar to looking at a phone or map, park guests should also be able to stand in a location and talk to each other for a few moments. Using hand and facial gestures to express laughter or excitement.
D. Taking Pictures
Whether that would be in front of an exhibit, newly added trees, buildings, or possibly the future fountains and statues, guests like taking pictures. The player should also enjoy seeing their creations being photographed. The guest animations should take a second and snap a photo or selfie. The more advanced state of this animation is a group photo; where a group of guests pose together and take a picture.
6. Magazine/Website
This is the last feature that needs to be implemented and used to promote your park in Jurassic World Evolution. The way this can be handled is simple, create a generic magazine panel or website that the player can open and review.
