Passanger missions and factions?

Do you get diffrent passanger missions depending on what states the faction is in?
And can i influence a faction doing passanger missions?

Do you get diffrent passanger missions depending on what states the faction is in?

It seems to change the label on the bulk (non-VIP) passenger missions, and sometimes the VIP missions as well. Sometimes this will have an effect on the mission legality and/or whether it affects economy or security sliders.

And can i influence a faction doing passanger missions?

Yes - they all boost the influence of the faction offering them, and those with a separate destination will have an effect (usually positive) on the destination faction too.
