Paths

Is there a way to start a path close to another without it auto snapping onto an existing path? or is this something that needs to be fixed?

I guess Frontier will rework most of the path system after all the complains users have posted. I don't like it at all. It's the only thing I don't like about the game.

Hey, just wanted your real feedback on paths? I have seen people complaining a lot and quite simply am baffled by it all. I thought it was because I was fairly good with a keyboard and mouse and gaming, that I thought it was the most simple and intuitive path designer I had seen in almost any game. Well my Wife who has never played a PC game in her life wanted a go yesterday so I thought awesome I will get to see what everyone's complaining about, gave her a quick run down of the buttons she needed to press and she was flying through it raising lowering, curving around trees inside buildings everything. This is someone as I said wouldn't know how to turn the game on unless I done it for her and she had zero problems.

I haven't commented much on the subject because I really wanted to see what the problems people were having but I really don't think they should change a thing, it is pretty darn perfect for someone experienced and a complete newbie.

What I really want may seem regressive to some but I REALLY liked the old grid based path system that RCT 1-3 had. I like having the option of smooth curved paths but miss being able to make tightly packed queues that share edges. PLEASE!!!!

To be perfectly frank, this alpha is really good, HOWEVER the only real down part was the over-looking of simple hint commands. If they had a true correct list of Shift+Z and so forth on how shortcuts are done , I don't think many people would have the issues they are having. Such as paths, rotating lights , buildings etc... most (when you find the correct key combos) works great. There just needs to be allot more tool tips. I would recommend such before a next major released patch, just my personal thoughts on the matter.

I have the same feeling too, I am not sure if it OCD or something but I been fooling around with the path system for a hours and can never get the path to look straight. It makes the park look awkward were the path it not to straight which also waste spaces when it comes to dropping down rides and shops
