Asvienses is the key system we want to Undermine from Delaine, as an Imperial system right on our borders. We've hit the Undermining trigger, but Expansion rating is higher at the moment. Resistance pockets don't offer the merits given by simply interdicting and destroying Kumo Crew in the system, so that is the recommended method here.

Does interdicting Kumo ships in the expansion system actually work for fighting the expansion?

Does interdicting Kumo ships in the expansion system actually work for fighting the expansion?

I haven't tested this myself yet. I certainly am getting 15 merits per Kumo kill in Asvienses, but I haven't gone back to a control system to turn them in yet. Word of mouth has it that it does contribute to opposing Expansion, but I'd like to see it myself it that's so.

Wuru is done.

We should now conzentrate our expanding on one system. Than the next one.

Which one is 1st ?

Orranika is first priority from those systems remaining.

so we need people to really put effort into 1798 and Orranika they are both sitting at a point where we could get them but currently we are going to fall short and only gain 2 systems,

we really really need people to stop with the prep and grab a ship with guns and military strike

frankly patreus supporters need to focus on expansion first everything else last or we will end up number 10 this cycle we will if lucky expand into 3 systems, thats pathetic, the fact we cant communicate in game is a problem, the fact that more prep has gone into Vaka than all our targets for the last cycle is another,

I wouldn't freak out to much, I would think you guys would be in 8th position at the worst. Antel will expand to 1 system if any and Delaine will get 3 or 4 (although 1 would be better).

Your actually percentage is much higher than Delaines, I think Sirius only just over took you guys.

Cycle 7

As the Powers adjust to yet another update/change in the mechanics of Powerplay from FD, last cycle was a bit haphazard for everyone, so going forwards into Cycle 7 there are a few small strategy changes, but also some things are remaining the same.

Priorities:

1) Expansion - This is staying as our TOP PRIORITY. Previously it had been a case of balancing Expansion, in order to keep ahead in galactic standings, with overheads, which meant that if we expanded too fast we'd hit that brick wall of turmoil and collapse. With the changes being made to the overheads system, we can now push Expansion to the max, so we're re-emphasising the importance allocated to Expansion this cycle.

2) Fortification - We're moving up Fortification priority this cycle. Last cycle focusing only on the brushfires worked on freeing up resources elsewhere, but it was a temporary strategy - long-term we don't want other Powers thinking we've grown complacent and then stealth-dumping a load of merits into our Control systems at the last minute to Undermine us. I'll be re-posting the Fortification Priorities list below so commanders can easily view which Control systems need more attention than others.

3) Preparation - This'll feed into next cycle's Expansion, and a target list is provided below.

4) Undermining - General Undermining at Commanders' discretion, although we're still collaborating with other Powers (particularly, the other Imperials), to liberate Imperial systems from Archon Delaine. In addition I have another Covert Operation which Commanders can get the details of via pm.

Expansion:

Nine out of our ten Prep systems made it through to Expansion this cycle. Vaka is our top priority for Expansion this cycle. It's a system that secures our borders and is very easy for us to maintain control over, in addition it is the home of some of our Commanders and we have an opportunity to reclaim it. After Vaka is secured for Expansion, we have a list ordered by priority of systems we want to Expand. Given a choice, Commanders should go for the systems higher on the list, which have higher CC yield and lower Expansion triggers.

1) Vaka

2) Prydereti

3) Cuchua

4) Niu Lang O

5) Chao Wu

6) Kassimshipa

7) HR 826

8) Lileni

9) Munfayl

Fortification:

Commanders should see Cmdr Vyvian's post about how to flip local system authority in order to see about how you can help Patreus' Fortification by changing the authority to Imperial in systems at the top of the list such as Smei Tsu and HIP 101846. https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=154158&page=29&p=2522950&viewfull=1#post2522950

Preparation:

Orannika and LTT 1798 are targets again as they are still good systems on our list. Kassimshipa is an approved system, not just because of inherent value, but because we would be making other Powers expend resources. Apalok is currently being Expanded by Li Yong-Rui, so there's no point in Prepping it - in order to get another chance at Prepping it, Commanders need to oppose the Expansion in that system. Ditae, Shonso, Mundigal, Ketsauts, and Lambda-2 Phoenicis are also put forwards as systems that will be assets in securing our Power. The rest of our Prep list can be used to force other Powers into expending resources.

Undermining:

I can announce that I have another covert operation, the details of which can only be disclosed to our commanders via secure transmission. A single target is the focus of this operation, so all efforts can be focused. PM me for the details.

Notice

Just a notice to Commanders - it's well worth us getting Cuchua Expanded for sure - it's right in the middle of our territory, and if we get it we stop more incidents of another Power trying to carve out a little bubble there in the middle of our space.

Cycle 8

Priorities:

No change here, Expansion is still our number one priority, followed by Fortification, Preparation, and Undermining.

1) Expansion

2) Fortification

3) Preparation

4) Undermining

Expansion:

We gained only Vaka last cycle, a gain which is good news for our commanders operating out of the system, but the addition of only a single system to our Control systems is disappointing. Just to be clear, we saw Expansion activity across multiple systems, but they weren't focused on key systems and thus didn't get over the trigger. Efforts need to be refined and focused in order to push more systems through from Expansion into Fortification.

Seven out of ten of our Prep systems made it through to the Expansion phase in this cycle. Some, however, are far more useful to us than others. Below is the priority list for Expansion, with the system of most value to us (in terms of Command Capital, Economy, Distance to HQ, and strategic location) in the number one spot, with those of lesser value further down the list. Orannika, which helps us to link up with our Beta Caeli bubble, is our top priority, with Namarii, Agastariya, and Alit following close behind (all systems with decent CC and strong in securing our borders).

1) Orannika

2) Namarii

3) Agastariya

4) Alit

5) Feng Tanga

6) Hatmehing

7) HIP 105606

Fortification:

Preparation:

Since we didn't get some of our Expansion systems last time, they are now available for our Preparation efforts once again. Cuchua is a top priority system here, just because we want to shut outsiders out of taking this system which is right in the middle of our space. Many other systems are also showing up from last cycle: LTT 1798, Kassimshipa, Ditae, Shonso, Mundigal, Ketsauts, and Lambda-2 Phoenicis. Order of priority below:

1) Cuchua

2) Shonso

3) LTT 1798

4) Mundigal

5) Ditae

6) Kassimshipa

7) Ketsauts

8) Lambda-2 Phoenicis

Undermining:

Operation Davy Jones in conjunction with the other Imperial Powers against the pirate Archon Delaine is continuing. Our most recent targets have been Huaich and Huichi, but look out for new strikes through the cycle, which I will post about here.

Preparation:

It seems the campaign for Cuchua has begun once more. We have it Prepped to 1566, but Delaine is already on 3890, and twice as much ahead of us. All commanders interested in doing Prep work for the cycle should take their materials to Cuchua for now, and making sure it stays ahead in the Prep race. Delaine's pirates are openly discussing how they intend on turning this into a Prep race with the deliberate intention of stirring us up. Therefore orders from Command are that commanders should keep their eyes peeled for other pirate activity and continue to pursue Operation Davy Jones, and frustrate Delaine by stopping his Expansions, as well as ensuring the security of Cuchua.

HR 3007 is not a bad choice in terms of CC yield, however it's extremely far from our space, and we have to think about how much effort it will take to Fortify every cycle - as a Federation system located near to Federation space, the answer to that question is probably a lot.

Expansion:

We've seen virtually no work on this so far today. Remember, Orannika is our primary target, followed by Agastariya, Alit, and Namarii.

Fortification:

We have not seen any opposition so far this cycle, although judging by past experience Commanders can expect to see opposition in Smei Tsu, Parsi, Turbacobo, Picaurukan, Guguroro, and Lausang. Delaine's pirates have been openly talking about how they will target Smei Tsu this cycle. It is well worth checking out Cmdr Vyvian's post on how to flip local system authority to help Patreus if you haven't already:https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showth...=1#post2522950

Right now our priority is Expansion of Orannika, Alit, Agastariya, and Namarii, followed by Prep of Cuchua.

Expansion Update:

We definitely need to focus that Expansion effort. A lot of commanders with combat vessels have gone off into Delaine space to help the combined Imperial effort there, so those that remain will have to focus in order to get us an Expansion or two. Orannika is still our best potential Expansion in terms of CC and strategic location, followed by Alit, Agastariya, and Namarii - so it's good to see those are being worked on, but it'd be better to get one over and then do another, and so forth. Agastariya is the furthest ahead right now, so let's get it over the top and then push for Orannika.

Operation Davy Jones

With our Expansion situation being ongoing dealt with, Commanders are advised that once Agastariya is dealt with (Orannika secondary target), we are working in concert with the other Imperial Powers to block Archon Delaine's Expansions this cycle. Senator Patreus' forces have been assigned Gelong and Ngam as our target systems, with other Imperial Powers headed elsewhere.

Status Update:

Due to the excellent work of our commanders, we now have Expansion in Agastariya in the bag, and Orannika is well on the way, just under 2000 merits short of hitting that target. Commanders have also been Fortifying at-risk systems such as Parsi and Smei Tsu - both difficult systems lacking a large platform dock, so credit again to those dedicated commanders who've been working on those. The Imperial action in the Pegasi sector is continuing, with Ngam and Gelong our key targets.

Cycle 9

Priorities:

1) Expansion

2) Fortification

3) Preparation

4) Undermining

Expansion:

We got all 10 of our Prep systems through to Expansion this cycle. HIP 98211 and HR 3007 are odd choices, way out from our space, and are likely to have very high Expansion threshhold triggers - in other words, not worth Expanding - even if we could get them Expanded, the effort needed to Fortify them every cycle would be equally as high. Cuchua, Imperial, Patronage, and already inside of our space, is likely to have a low Expansion threshhold for us, and locking it down this cycle is desirable. At Collingbaka we only break even, so that's out too. Utgaroar is a good target, and if you want to help Patreus in the background sim, take missions from the Kenna Netcoms Group to flip the system to Imperial. Chunja is another loss for us, so don't Expand there. 47 Ceti, however, is another good target, as is Shonso, and Dongzi. The Expansions priority list therefore looks like this:

1) Dongzi

2) Cuchua

3) Shonso

4) 47 Ceti

5) Utgaroar

Fortification:

Preparation:

Reviewing possible targets for Preparation this cycle, our best choices are the following: Paesi; Jugapalk; HIP 2239; Ditae; and Alit. All offer good CC yield and strategic locations. Priority list below:

1) Alit

2) Paesi

3) HIP 2239

4) Jugapalk

5) Ditae

Undermining:

The Imperial Powers this cycle are contuining the campaign in the Pegasi sector. Anyone wishing to participate should contact me via pm for the target information.
