1-Will we be able to hire NPCs to the crew (for example gunner role)? (Unfortunately my friends can not always be online, and strangers on board, I do not intend to let the principle, at the same time to "enjoy" the onboard computer the company has essentially fed up. because like the possibility of hiring the crew of the NPC itself, if only for the species, that were not even carrying any sort of special advantage).
2- Will we be able to walk around our ships and stations in 2.4 – 3.0?
3- Have you considered letting players to buy some paintjobs with credits?
4- Should we expect introducing in-game radio at some point?
5-Will players be able to travel between stars at speeds much higher than supercruise but without the use of witchspace jumps (with the help of alien technology for example)?
6-A question about distant future. In the game there are other galaxies like Magellanic Clouds, Andromeda etc. Are they just a part of skybox for realistic look or will we be able to visit them one day?
Hello everyone, yesterday Ed mentioned that there would be one or more Q&A Livestreams for 2.3 update. Why am I here you ask, well, in the past he's made threads like this and (from what I gathered) printed the entire thread for his reference notes. The obvious problems are very long questions, repeat questions and the topic bouncing from feature to feature. Which is why I'm here, I am going to take your questions here, put them into a massive first post and try to put them in a subject category.
All questions will be copied to the OP, I will do my best not to add bias but I will almost always shorten questions. Feel free to PM me if you think I've ignored your question or not put your question across the way you wished. Ditto if I put it under a sub-heading you disagree with, this has grown fairly organically and gotten larger than planned and more difficult to manage in one big post...

Nice work on the 2.3 Beta - some really great stuff added.
Question:
The Dolphin ship has a dedicated passenger cabin module bay which is a really nice feature and makes it a viable ship for passengers without making it overpowered (which it would be if it was a general module slot). I'm wondering whether you are considering doing this for other ships in future - for example having a special module for shipping a certain type of sensitive cargo etc, or having a dedicated cargo cabin module bay or smaller trading vessels. Or perhaps dedicated larger fuel scoop slots to make explore ships have a real advantage for exploring without over powering them. Also ships with dedicated mining module slots?
What's the design reasoning behind the distribution of Multicrew features across the range of ships?
The first ship where Multicrew can be used for both Gunner and Fighter roles is the Federal Gunship, which is reputation gated. The Keelback, which is the only un-gated early game ship with a fighter hangar, is single seat.
When accessibility of the feature has been writ large (telepresence, bounty voucher duplication), this pushes players towards owning the biggest ships (and gives these ships a corresponding power bonus).
