PC Gets hot and smells weird.

Your PC should be fine from the looks of it. Watch the temps & if you get that smell again I can't stress it enough to contact the manufacturer. That's definitely not normal and none of us can really figure that issue out for you other than what we've been suggesting & asking. You also don't really need more fans if your temps are fine. I'm just fan crazy, I love fans. I have 2 on top, 2 in front, 1 in back, 2 on the side and 1 on the bottom. Fans everywhere, fans for everyone, fans for life! 🤪

I'll play some more later, and if I smell the smell again, then I will contact the manufacturer. To everyone, thank you for the help, and I'll get back to you later if something happens worth updating over.

My PC when playing Planet Zoo on Ultra Graphics, gets weird electronic smell, and gets hot. Is this normal, and will the fumes hurt me if I breath them in?

This sounds like a similar issue I had with Elite Dangerous around the time Beyond released. For some reason my PC would run hot around space stations, it was fine previously. It was fixed in a later patch, but I couldn't really play the game because of this problem.

I believe both games run on the same engine.

huh, so apparently nothing is over heating. Wonder whats the smell from, and why the PC feels extremely hot..
If the PC feels hot on the outside, it means the fans are not working properly and hot air remains inside for longer than it should.
Note - "hot" is relative. If the air inside is 70°C and the components are around, let's say 80°C, it's kind of normal temperature for them, but a 70°C metal case will feel really hot to YOU.

That being said, if the case fans are working as they should, the air temperature inside the case should ideally be 10-20°C warmer than the ambient room temperature. So around 40-50°C.

I think it would be good if you posted some photos of your PC with the side panel off so we can take a look.
There are several things that could be the culprit of this, one of which is an inverted exhaust fan.
Normally, most cases will have one or more fans sucking air inside from the front (intake) and one fan on the back, plus sometimes other ones on the top which exhaust the hot air out. If your exhaust fan(s) is turned the other way around and sucks air inside, instead, it would mean the air is kept inside and only escapes through the gaps in the case or grills that aren't occupied with fans.
That's the first thing that came to mind.

Other is that the exhaust fan is simply not working (not connected or failed)

Again, if you can, post some photos (possibly some closeups). That would be a great help.

Hey, Voids Light, is your PC new or have you had it a while? If you've had it a long time, it may have some dust build up on the fans, so it might be worth getting an air blower to give it a clean out. Have a search on Amazon for something like the Compu Cleaner.

I use one on my PC and PS4 and it does a good job of keeping everything dust free.

Thanks, and my pc is about a few months old (got it in June). We dusted the pc out, and I haven't smelled the smell, but the pc still gets hot while playing planet zoo on Ultra Graphics, and I have been scared to play the game for an hour in fear that it would emit a smell.

Alright, I'll open it up later and take some pictures of it.
