I have the same budget constraints, but seems you get a lot for the extra £35

OMG after reading through this thread... I dare not tell you what I play ED on HIGH settings on... apparently it is probably too old a piece of hardware yet for some strange reason for the most part it plays ALL my games including ED just fine (as long as I dun mind a little stuttering during hyperspace)

no reason to be ashamed, as long as it works good enought for you

Respectfully, I disagree. No amount of hardware will make this game run "great", in it's current state. Why? Here's why:

Until that's fixed? High performance is a dream, for FDEV.
Making network I/O a blocking dependency of rendering? That's the very antithesis of high performance.
(and yes, this problem has been around since Beta2, and is still happening, today, as of version 1.1.xx.
