Steam has it. Was just advised to exit the Steam client and restart. Worked. Downloading now.

I'm on DSL and my download time started at 1 Hour 15 Minutes. 50 Minutes to go at this point at just under 20meg speed.

But yeah... Those of us who live in rural areas of the planet are still stuck in 1998 using antiquated technologies because our local ISPs are too cheap to upgrade their infrastructure despite charging us triple what most city dwellers pay for speeds 10x faster.

I hear its called a free market economy. Only (1) ISP to choose from, so you either pay their outrageous monthly fee, or you go without an internet connection completely.

It will take me all night to update a patch this large, I'll just let it run while I sleep and play tomorrow night.

Its called a free market economy, which only benefits the corporations while gouging the general public who have only (1) ISP in their area.

Yeah, so much this.

I live rural too in the US and have 4G LTE wireless off of dedicated data towers (not a cell phone plan) and get 6-7Mbps d/l speed with a 50GB/mo data cap and pay $70/mo for the privilege of having it. The only other option is satellite and while I could go faster I could also pay well over $100/mo for that pleasure.

But there is always the dial-up option.
