People opinion will ruin this game.

Well, I am completely against "people" imposing their tastes and opinions on a project that does not belong to them, it belongs to David Braven

Actually there's some good trivia there. I just looked up David Braven, and found something very interesting..

David Braven has created a computer the size of a USB device. It is designed for the initiation of children in the computer world. Equipped with an ARM11 similar to the first Iphone and 128 Mb of Ram, and the operating system will probably Linux. Its functionality will be very limited and it would cost between € 11 and € 17. Surely, the cheapest computer in the world.

I would agree if Mr Brabben would have sold us a "finished" product so every one knows what he is buying but as he decided to ask for money on a "vision" the things are different...

Or, alternatively, one could buy a game when it is enjoyable as is, and see the rest as bonus. Everyone keeps chasing this stupid notion of "I dont like it now, but lets buy it now anyway and see what happens!". Early Access, Open Alpha, Iterative Design, Pre-order, whatever. We as consumers really do it to ourselves. Just say:"No, if it is currently not worth what you ask to me, than I wont pay it yet. Come back later if you want." But we want to jump in early and get the 'dream'. So some leave ED because 'the dream' didnt happen and buy into SC. Soon they'll leave that, and jump to the next thing. Over and over and over again, all the time talking down the games that actually exist because they dont compare to the Dream.

Both happiness and unhappiness are easy to attain, and we all get to decide for ourselves. :)

This is comparing apples to oranges.

People giving feedback based on their opinions helps the developers improve this game

Feedback is good, but there's a high noise to signal ratio and it can give disproportionate focus on certain areas, at a disproportionate and not necessarily representative volume.

Ultimately, FD have to look at their data to see what 'most people' and 'everyone' or 'the critical mass' of players. Likewise people using these words in posts rather grab my ire. Great: You have an opinion: Let it stand on it's own instead of pretending a majority agrees.
