Performance on Xbox One (2.2)

Hello!
Dear developers, I ask you to put in order the console version of the game. Performance Game at a low level. Galactic card can be opened for 20 seconds. Rotate the pilot's head contributes to a drop in frame rate. Locating in the station hangar journey through planets, the survey system, and much more - all these elements of gameplay are important and all of them present poor performance. Drop frame rate is very disappointing.
I beg you to correct this defect. We need a stable 30 FPS

With respect

The FR inly drops when highlighting the fighter panel to deploy it while in combat.

I'd also prefer a smoother UI and more stable framerate over graphical detail. On the other hand, the One's hardware is so terrible I'm amazed it can run ED at all.

I too have noticed a difference in performance; albeit for the better.

I'm about 7kylies out from the bubble and i suspect that the lack of other cmdrs is the reason for this change. The transition to galaxy and\or system map is a tad quicker and moving around the maps are smoother.

Before 2.2 I too was experiencing lag in opening maps.

I went to visit Farseer last night in my Beluga and once I landed trying to navigate through the menus was downright painful. Everything was literally running in slow motion. Even the casino sliders as I attempted my FSD upgrades were moving in slo-mo. Everything corrected itself once I left the base. I chalked it up to heavy traffic on the servers...

Agreed, the frame rate drop while turning the pilots head is jarring. The new everything looks amazing, and I am grateful for that. But every time I turn my head (which is pretty often) I am jarred once again. It just sours the greatness of 2.2.

Is there anyway to patch this FD? I would kiss you if we can get a steady 30fps. Or if I need to buy an XBOX One S, let me know...

Nonsense.

No, ironically he's not. that's my experience as well, only have frame rate drop on the fighter panel. Galmap, Sysmap and looking around all are smooth as silk for me, even at ray gateway with 20 or more commanders present. I'll bet most the problems in the thread are due to network issues.

Yeah I tried playing briefly yesterday around 11:30 AM PST in solo mode, as I was on my lunch break at home haha. It could have been something to do with network issues at the time since it was the day of release, and probably crowded servers.

I do subscribe to the highest tier bandwidth in my area, I think its like 30mb/s down and 5mb/s up. I will cross my fingers the frame rate drop wasn't on my end. I guess I didnt think that looking left and right would be something that a network connection would affect.

I have to agree with the statement. I love the improvements but you can definitely tell that the frame rate has taken a hit.

So choppy even in super cruise compared to before, i expect we will get a fix, stable FPS is a must!

Some of these things are no doubt server issues that will eventually get better. But others are hardware problems that cannot be easily fixed, if at all. All of us know that thete are still glitches that did not get fixed from the last updates. We are going to have to live with it, and hope that future updates aren't so demanding (though if I had to bet on it, I'd bet things just get worse).

With other players in instance or? what if you are alone?

There's a reason the xbox one scorpio is on the way, they want consoles including ps4 to steadily do more and keep up better with pc, but yeah that requires....more hardware.

I am 32k ly away from sol with nobody around, obviously, since the update its been choppy. Playing open. Before the only drop in frame rate i had was driving around in an SRV at an outpost on a planet.

Phew, thought it could have just been me. 2.2 sure looks nice but there's been a definite frame-rate hit. Not just in the extra-detailed stations but even at times during supercruise, and that's in Solo.

The galaxy map still lags a little. The mission board is faster now, but still pauses. Other than that, I've not noticed the lag you guys are mentioning. Are you playing on the internal drive, or external drive?

Yeah the mission board and npc avatars load much quicker, and everything in general is nice and pretty.

For me, the game just has frame rate drops, most notably when I am looking around the cockpit. It just sucks in the fact that I look around the cockpit for flying, and I think flying is a big part of the game.

I am playing on a USB 3.0 external HDD. I read the USB 3.0 connection was actually faster than the internal HDD connection for the xbox one.

I am also a bit of an audiophile / videophile, so I notice changes in fidelity.

There is defiantly a significant frame rate drop and it's not to do with servers I feel, this does need addressing asap.

There is certainly a significant frame rate drop and it's not to do with servers I feel, this really does need addressing asap, breaks immersion outright.

I did a full reset of the xbox before playing tonight and the choppiness from yesterday definitely improved.
Still think there are slightly more jaggies too.

Maybe a slightly lower res would be better for keeping a smooth framerate. Wouldn't bother me if they did that.

I suppose it's entirely possible that the framrate issue/lag and the few other bits may have to a large number of people still downloading the patch from the servers? If the gameplay and download patch are one and the same server? Let's Discuss!

Hmm it seems to me that 2.2 has improved performance overall. I will say that it seems like I am in hyperspace longer than before but outside of that I am really pleased.
