Perks of being a Federation Admiral?

I'm wondering if there are any perks to being a Rear Admiral and above in the Federation, other than the corvette and system permits of course.

Do stations treat you differently or anything like that?

Ah damn it, that's a shame. [big grin]

I was starting to get annoyed at the Federal Authorities bad mouthing me, even though I'd probably be of a higher rank than them in realism terms.

It's pretty cool that stations welcome you if you're allied there, saying "An ally like you is always welcome here", etc, but it would be awesome if they treated the higher-up players differently, in my opinion.

Ah, but you aren't. :)

You're a member of an auxiliary service, not their navy; a part-time mercenary who was given flamboyant but meaningless titles by their employer. A bit like the noble titles handed out to privateers.

You'll be the first to be called to face the Thargoids in a suicidal attack so that the Federation can assess their capabilities

I would consider it relatable to today's Reserve military forces. A reserve Captain, for instance, may have less medals and service stripes, but is still equal in rank to a full time officer. :p
