Permit rank bug?

I've had two instances now where I have taken consecutive rank up missions for the Feds, only on completion I don't get ranked up, and seam to loose rep.

anyway, even more curious is that this happened last night and I am a chief PO, but have a vega permit?

It's all weird. It's not you. I am a Lt. and have the exebur permit but not the hors. I have also already had multiple rank missions givin at the same time, none of which ranked me up, and also had some lower my reputation as well. Just kept doing them anyways.

Thanks PocketCow - at least if it happened to you I know I'm not going to get rank stuck.

On a bit of a grind in anticipation of that Fed Cruiser - it sounds like the missions are going to get harder in 1.3

I got the Hors permit message when I reached the Lt. Cmdr rank, and I was actually able to accept it.
Now it just sits in the unavailable section of the BB, like the previous system did.
I didn't notice if I had it before, or not, as I had received quite a few permits when I first started ranking up.
Also had multiple ranking missions, at different stations, ignored all as I had already accepted one. Upon completion of the accepted mission, all other disappeared, and I gained my rank.
I've learned not to try to game the system, as the potential unintended consequences outweigh following what you know is right.

I got multiple rank up missions but only when I hadn't completed the first I had accepted....minor bug mainly..

I've been trying to run various commodities around Vega, Ross 128 and Hors - trying to get to Ensign for 2 days now, so that I can get the 'Drift-ship.' Nada. No success. I had access to these areas (except for Hors - no access yet, as expected) ahead of the 'rank' - as others. In fact, my 'standing' is going DOWN, as I do these missions! It appears to be fairly well jacked-up at the moment. I'll waste another perfectly good evening on the attempt tonight and see what happens. In the event that I continue to have this 'reverse-success' I may just shelve this game altogether, until it's at a RELEASE stage - instead of just an advanced 'beta' (the '$' syntax errors in the assassination mission 'change' descriptions is unforgivable, at this stage).
