It would be really nice if at your own fleet carrier you would be greeted personally and inside th epersonal recognize you as captain an react to you.
It would give a bit more personal touch. Also if you have the highest rank of a faction it would be nice if at stations of this factions you are treated
like a VIP interacting. Also it would be nice if on your fleet carrier there would be sometimes vocals like "...xx come to bridge" or so and people really talk
to make things more lively. Can't be too hard to implement. Just a bit of warm feeling being home...

In Elite we are nothing, not hero's not VIPs naff all, just small fish in a gigantic bowl.
Sometimes its just enough to stare in amazement at our universe and understand how insignificant we are.

The thing is we aren’t real VIPs or heroes just the 34th century equivalent of white van drivers. We might have collected some ranks and awards from various groups but they have no more significance in terms of power or authority than being a major in the Sealed Knot or a Colonel in the Confederate Air Force.

An option for a bit more background noise/chatter when on deck in the FC could be good.
