Hey,

i have started a petition for bigger maps in Planet Coaster.
Everyone who wants can sign this petition.
It is 100% free. And maybe we can soo really build the park of our Dreams without limits!
For me it´s the Disneyland Paris park with Hotels and the Disney Studios.

Why a petition? You gonna present it to them?

Is a suggestion not enough? So people can respond here?

Me, I don't need bigger maps. Can't fill them completely anyways.

Maybe it´s enough for you, but i have other goals with this game. (Disneyland Paris replication with hotels and Studios)
And sure i would love to present it to them, because i love everything they do and have the chance to meet them.

As I've said in the other thread about it, if such a thing was added everyone would be stuck with the same map size as it is (and technically a petition isn't needed).

LOL... that is tempting, I mean normally I pay at least 50 bucks to sign a petition.

It looks like you have a suggestion/idea you want noticed above other ideas because you think it's more important. You've provided some comedy, thanks.

lol Its nearly impossible to fill the current size maps without the game becoming a slideshow and you want it bigger?

I cant think of one instance where a petition actually did anything

Ok allowing this to stay open, @OP please do not spam your petition across the forum.

Thanks.

You can make the border bigger in scenario editor. You can use all the land at the cave entrance now and remove the hill and cave and relocate the entrance. That’s as big as the parks will get because the border is now up to the skirt which does not have any modifiable terrain. Unless they would make a new bigger biome.

A city / suburb and ocean / island biome map is needed well before maps are made bigger, that's my opinion :)

I don't think we need bigger maps off the bat. maybe growing maps that allow you to purchase more as your park grows like RTC3. I feel that would be a better solution, but to be honest once my park reaches 7000 guests I start getting to super low FPS rates to the point it's almost unplayable so it would only benefit a small amount of players considering my gaming PC is no slouch.

I get the OP's idea and thought about posting a similar request awhile back. I know that Planet Coaster is a taxing game even for decent PCs, especially as parks become larger and more crowded, but as more themes get added (hopefully), particularly space-intensive stuff like Safari or Waterparks, some users who want to put in something of everything are indeed going to be pressed for room with the current boundaries. There are two potential solutions I can offer for how to make it work...with the caveat that they may not be feasible with Planet Coaster's current engine, but that's for the devs to tell us.

1) Free-form parks whose outer boundaries are dictated by the placement of rides/pathways/etc.; the boundaries would spread outward as you add more stuff, enabling you to build a park that isn't necessarily confined to a large rectangle.

2) You could have transit stations connecting one park or themed area to another, as is the case with Disney World. Things like hotel complexes and parking lots take up valuable real estate that could be used for the actual park in the game's current state, but by giving users the ability to connect multiple spaces of land via monorail, road, etc. those things would offer those who wish to employ them a means to do so without intruding upon the park itself. For example, one space could be "Disney World", one could be "Disney's Animal Kingdom", another "Epcot", and then you'd have a hub with hotels and such. By loading each area separately when you go between them to minimize the total number of resources/objects/Peeps/etc. at a time, it would spare people's PCs from exploding.

Anyway, those are just a couple of thoughts, though I highly doubt either is likely to happen; there are far more important and higher-priority things for Frontier to still do with Planet Coaster at the moment, and I doubt that either idea is really feasible from a technical standpoint. But it can't hurt to throw it out there, I guess.

Bigger maps should definitely not be made. There is no one with a powerful enough pc to make a full sized park with the current size and run it smoothly. The current map is big enough [yesnod]

And I guarantee, if they do make it bigger, there will be loads more complaints about performance which I'm sure the devs do not want.
