Petition for Localizations

People want anti-hack protection and more content, FD want other platforms to keep funding up but sure lets drop all of that and focus on localisation.

I find it very absurd that you should make demands (not polite requests, demands) without knowing if there are actual reasons for the delay. I know for a fact that certain Polish characters cannot be displayed in-game for example. Maybe FD don't have German/French speakers and relied on external translators and had no way of knowing the translations were pool. Have you offered any help?

Maybe you should offer up potential solutions rather than throwing your demands about.

That's from your own point of view. Of course, as an English speaking person why in the world would you want localizations?
You are worried about content? There are people who have been waiting 9 months to play the game (meaning they are getting NO content), because they can't understand the language. Do you think that's fair?

English is not my first language and I personally don't care about localizations.

Content and features > localization.

Though it is true that localization will bring more players in, I don't think it should be a priority.

I'm not a native English speaker and I find this a bad idea.
You do localization when you run out of anything to polish or improve.

That's probably because your language is probably not offered. Even if it is, you seem like you know enough English to play the game.

It's worth while for Frontier to localise. Simply they will make far more money. Due to increased market.

They don't need a big team to do this. The most cost effective way is to use a translation agency. They know what they are doing they have the tools to do it and can project manage it for Frontier. As long as the text is externalised then it's easy as pie and not terribly expensive.

There is even technology to deploy news feed near instantly in all languages automatically...

People don't seem to understand that this is not a zero-sum game. Just because FD is working on localizations, it doesn't mean that all of a sudden they will lose new content. People have been offering free translations, and yes, maybe some characters are hard to actualize in-game, and you might need advanced programming for that.

If that is the case, at least, Frontier could be coming out forward and making an announcement on the struggles they are having with it, and give players some kind of realistic timeline on when it will be completed.

It is a lot better than players waiting... without any news, whatsoever, on localizations.
