"Physical" Multicrew broken for anyone else?

I mean, of course it is. But Confirmation is helpful.

Two friends of mine could get into my ship, but would be infinite loading as soon as I enter supercruise when leaving the station, until they are disconnected with the error code "Silver Fer Der Lance"

Is this basically a problem everywhere?

Same issue. Goto hangar and board ship. Usually crashes for them at jump or another form of session change.

That sounds like some of the usual (and very unfortunate) Elite network errors. I suggest you take a quick look at the advice here in particular for the router connectivity part at the bottom, as I presume you prolly already have checked all the other more common advice above: https://customersupport.frontier.co...011817380-Connectivity-troubleshooting-steps-

If that also fails I strongly recommend to create a support ticket including the net logs generated during the sessions when you had issues, the link above also shows how to get those net logs. Double points if you can send net logs for people who actually failed to connect to each other or were together before a crashed when jumping etc.

I have this exact problem, though I found it happens with people who are quite a distance from you. I played with a friend who was in the same country as me and works just fine. Played with someone from a different country and whoever was crew at the time gets stuck in Hyperspace or loading into supercruise, just to get Orange Sidewinder error a minute later.

This has to work without fiddeling on network setting on my router...
We all play many MP games that work out of the Box....come on

Hey, I hear you, but sadly it does not since ED instancing is not server based but peer to peer. I strongly suggest you give the above advice a whirl.

This issue has been in the game since forever, Multicrew only works if you don't jump.
If you jump its Orange Sidewinder to passengers 90% of the time.

Frontier is not interested in Multiscrew.

Last night my mate and I attempted some EDO Multi-crew, everything went fine until he jumped, I was left floating in space looking at pretty stars - Had to force close the game.
ED:H Multi-crew worked fine, I just cannot leave the ship on-foot.

*When I say ED:H MC, I mean using the old invite method.

go upvote the issue. i couldnt find an identical one, but there are so many connectivity issues from 2019 onwards v.v

also i'll be enabling net logging. can't hurt much and we need to provide this to fdev on a plate to get any traction.

Cool. Cant stress enough how useful those logs are for devs troubleshooting. Make sure to attach them in your issue submissions. And even better if you can attach both yours and some of your wingmates´ at the same time of the issue.

You submitted an issue ticket, havent you?

We had the same problem yesterday, also Physical Multicrew and Teams often completely stop Ground conflict zones from working so you cant finish them cause everybody has a different killcounter for the last remaining enemies. I had 0, one Friend had 3 left, other Friend had 1 left. We could not finish it.

Of course i reported this in the alpha already, i also reported this after the current Beta release but they are to buisy fixing Arx Items.

I believe Frontier has no solution to this problem under the networking structure it has chosen for this game (peer to peer).
It was reported many times years ago, then next year it was reported again and then it was reported again many times.
And yet here we are.

It bugs me as I'm really tempted to use it oftentimes, but its best to pretend it doesn't exist.

Issue 33492 is still in confirmation status so we can't vote on it.
However, it appears to be a duplicate of Issue 30069 (https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/30069) which has been confirmed and is available for votes.
This issue has a lot of duplicate tickets floating around (36339, 36376, and 33611 as examples), but 30069 is the only one so far that I've seen in Acknowledge status and available for voting.
So go upvote 30069 and let's see if we can get this fixed.

Personally, I think the coolest thing in Odyssey was finally merging wing/multicrew functionality in Teams so you can have a player gunner on your ship while you fly in a wing with another player in a separate ship. I damn near cried when I saw it was possible. Keeps me from having to choose between friends who want to play (but hate to fly) and friends who want to fly their own ships.

This has been going on since at least 2018 man. Like you guys should have enough logs to diagnose multicrew issues by now. I can actually tell you the issues are from that long ago cause my buddy who was I trying to show the Dragon nebula, had this same thing happen where it literally kicked him out of multi crew back then, 3 years later and this isn't fixed? and now the effort is just being made?

I'm sorry but between this and the mission server deleting missions off of peoples profiles it's ridiculous, and these issues ARE NOT NEW they are ALL at least 3 to 5 years old.

You aren't wrong but the issue has gotten worse.

But bugs like this should have been fixed or at the very least, told said fixes are impossible
