How do I go about inserting a pic into a thread when the pic is on my own computer? When I select insert a pic it wants a URL address. Please forgive my ignorance with this question but I need the help?

You need to upload you pic to something like photobucket or a similar pic sharing sight and copy the url from there.

http://imgur.com/ is a good site as well that many people here use.

Then when you have your photo uploaded there, you can click on the photo itself and then copy the BBCode (near the bottom) and this is the code you want in the post.

Then just place that code between the Spoiler tags so that it speeds up loading time for others and that's it...

imgur.com is better than photobucket IMO as i am getting rude emails from photobucket saying they know i am posting to 3rd party sites (this site) and I need to give them money.

Photbucket wants 59 dollars a year minimum. I only use it at most, 2 times a year. Imgur is still free ATMO.
