Pilot's Federation Elite Rank Requirements: Combat, Trade, Explorer

4200 bounties and 135 bonds for dangerous for me.

it is purely kill based as ppl have ranked up from killing unwanted civilians.

For reference. I don't think money matters, just kills. 8750 I would say for Elite. I would post link with my elite status but I can't right now =).

Since this value (4,335 kills) is so far out from what others have reported, I thought I should ask: Are these the numbers from when you obtained the Dangerous rank or what you currently have now since you've obtained the Dangerous rank?

from when I received it. it's much higher because my first 800 or so bounties were random USS, which often have very low ranked npcs. and the last 2500 were at RES against mostly Cobra. but with KWS and in an alliance system close to fed and empire space. so a lot of my kills were dual/triple bounties. killing a dual bounty oponent makes bounty claimed go up by 2!

so my actual kills number is much lower.
 
Just got upped to Competent.

Bounties claimed: 278
Profit from Bounties, 2,024,309
Combat Bonds: 26
Profit from Combat Bonds: 146,000
Assassinations: 0
Profit from Assassinations: 106,584 (don't know how since I have 0 Assassinations!)
 
It took me an hour or so between gaining the new rank on my status panel and acquiring the decal in the outfitters, including logging off and logging back in. In between, the available decals menu was completely blank but I could still select old decals.

I wonder if killing a CMDR with a huge multimillion bounty will lead to a massive jump in the combat ranks, especially if you have a lowish rank to start with by way of few combat profits? It was certainly the case that one could do that with exploration: until it was sensibly dialled down, the Sagittarius A* system used to be worth 139.7 million credits, which, once sold, instantly granted explorer Elite status due to the way the ranks were calculated.

Wow 139 million credits - basically a free anaconda once you traveled there and back? i know it is in the galactic core but even so...that was absurdly generous.

Regarding exploring progression as of today I am just over 3M Cr (3,000,908 Cr exactly) earned but I am still at Trailblazer. Hence it looks like requirements may have changed - does a number of visited systems count?
Will update when I get a new rank.
 
I think they've scaled up the requirements with the income buff in 1.2 so you still need to do as much exploring as before at the new higher pay off.

I hope that they take into account the original exploration credits are at a lower level!!
 
Not holding water with Explorer ranks either. Friend of mine got Ranger rank at 10.5MCr & I got it somewhere between 11MCr & 12MCr.


I think this is also as there are issues with our save files and progression (if you reset at gamma etc)

For example, I am still Broker at 220m of profit, way way above everyone else who clicked up
to next rank at ~ 135m. I logged a ticket and was told "yes we are aware of that .. keep on grinding you will get it eventually" ... of course without saying when 300m/400m a billion etc so yes things are broken for some people who seem to have to do millions more to get the same rank. I think this is probably more at the heart of why its hard to come out with levels that compare across players.

My ranking up in combat followed roughly the profile above so its a good indication. It must be a calculation on number and quality of kills and your combat income ...

Thanks dude. I think I'll leave updating this list for a while because everything feels quite new with the adjustments made in recent patches. When there's more information over the weeks I may come back and rewrite the list with more accurate information but for now it's difficult to be sure what exactly's going on.

As you can see in the first post, I've put a kind of disclaimer to show that the information applies to the game pre-1.2. I think it's clearer to leave the list as it was because if you know the adjustments you can still get a good idea how rank progression should work out. For example, I'd just double all the exploration numbers because I think the rewards for exploration were exactly doubled?

i needed ~10600 kills to get elite in combat, with ~160 million profit (~30 million assassin missions, ~20 million combat bonds and ~110 million normal bounties).
did not understand why it took so long

i killed many many elite condas in missions. as the counter is bugged, i think its one of the reasons
