I was a toll collector for a time in Uszaa. Lots of complaints from turists but the space-highways dont maintain themselves :D

It is the unwritten part where you either drop some booty or might be left in space with no thrusters.

Open play is a Universe where everything and anything can and will happen. You might go an entire week without a "human" incident in Open. It is not by any extent the big bad wolf and most humans you come across provie cheers and good luck to one another. Eventually you will get assailed by a greedy monster that wants part of your cargo, yes you will. Or you simply will be at the wrong system at the wrong time and another player just bought his new outfit of weapons... and ... wow a human ! perfect guinea pig...

Elite has many many qualities. One of them is being brought to the golden age of internet where the universe can be populated by friends and not so friendly players as well. Everything is great. Booty is not that big but the ways to get it deliver all the fun.
