Pixelated Adder

Why is the Adder's model so pixelated? Did they forget to enable smooth vertex shading on it.

This is not how it's supposed to be, this is how it looks over here:

I assume your drivers are up to date and all that?

Ive had this with my FDL.

Heh, was just about to say that I've had it with my FdL too.

I also have this odd, random, hiccup where the hardpoints on my Keelback don't always display properly and the weapons just poke out through the skin of my ship.

Haven't really looked into it but, although the drivers are up to date, my Gfx card is fairly pokey (was bought in an emergency but I then decided it was "good enough") and I think it's just a result of the card sometimes biting off more than it can chew and the image quality suffers as a result.

Does it always look like that, even if you zoom and pan the camera? There's something kinda nice about it, sorta early 2000's graphics :D

Dunno if it's the same for the OP but, for me, it's just kind of random and often goes away after a few seconds/minutes.

I'll look at an external view of a ship, either in play or in the equipping screen, and it'll look low-res and then I'll notice that it's sorted itself out even though I won't see it happen.

I'm not entirely sure but it seems to happen after periods involving heavy use of graphics, such as lots of ships or during/after a planetary landing.
I'm guessing that it happens when you've got a slightly wheezy gfx card, it's memory gets filled up with stuff and then it displays the low-res image of the ship until the card has sorted itself out.
