"Planet available in Odyssey version only"

Coming back into Elite Dangerous and playing Horizons I tried landing on a planet but got "Planet available in Odyssey version only" This was the first time I have tried planetary landing since coming back and got quite the shock. Is it not possible for Horizon players to land on planets anymore? If so, Why? Thanks in Advance.

Another thing: Odyssey is well worth getting. Between the availability of the atmospheric planets, which are awesome, the on foot content and the new ships only being available for ARX without Odyssey you might as well get it. With Odyssey, the new ships are available just for credits from the shipyard once they are out of early access, which at this time is all of them except the Panther Clipper.

Thanks for the clarification.
EDO planets (tenuous atmospheres) are the ones where vistas such as this exist...

I think the Scorpion is also only available with Odyssey. Really a no-brainer to get the DLC at this point. If you want to spent any money at all, that is.
