I was way too hyped to research the new content in my challenge park that I totally forgot I had very little money currently and dropped into the red! [shocked][haha] Oopsies!

I actually love the idea of having to research the new content in challenge mode, I hope you keep this system for the next time. [up]

I honestly don't mind if there not free. The developers of this game work so hard and it's nice to finally see a company interested in the game after it's release!

And here-in lies the problem. You eagerness to PAY for THIS update just encourages developers to half bake games and then cash in on us for the them to actually complete it.

I am fine with paying for a MAJOR expansion pack that add a LOT of changes in one hit.. that actually EXPANDS the game in to areas that didn't before exist.... but I am not happy to pay for little pieces of content that could easily have been part of the base game lie the WINTER update that really is seasonal.

I think it just comes down to fair judgment. This game was fairly priced IMO. I payed 32.99 for it, I believe. I think that's fairly priced for the content so far, although the game did release maybe a bit early, some things definetely need tweaking and some features could have been included (scenario editor, several management features, other types of staff, more scenery, , better localization of guests with problematic thoughts, more car types of coasters, etc.), but overall it's still a pretty good game. A dlc should add equal amount (perhaps more since the base game is already there) of content, for a similar price tag. Compare that to a game like Total War, where you pay 60 euro's for a small base game that's basically just a re-skin of their previous titles and where they charge you 15 euros for hand full of new units. That's a real problem in the gaming industry and it's disgusting, but let's be honest to the guy's at Frontier and give them the benefit of the doubt. This Winter update was nice and I think if they alternate between free updates the size of the winter update every 2/3/4 months and then a big content DLC every 6/8/12 months for anywhere between 8-20 euro's (depending on the amount of content), they have a pretty fair value business model.

I would pay for DLC that includes a lot new rides (or reskins of existing rides) or new themes or something (where is my spoopy Halloween theme?). But then again, I would pay for almost anything. Pumping €1800 in League of Legends proves this lol.

LOL, that's a lot of cash, but then again, LoL is a great game, I was willing to spend some money on it (not nearly that amount though xD), it's a great model. They give you a free fantastic game, you play as much as you want, and you naturally reciprocate with buying unique skins for whatever money you think the value of the game's worth.

I received this update yesterday (Friday) but it looks like I received another one today (I am now on 1.1.1.37699)?

Was there an unannounced rebuild update of 1.1.1?

If so, the developersteam seems to never sleep pushing out al lthese updates!

I'm ok with paid updates and DLC, but I do think the people who bought the Early bird pass should get some of them for free, since we supported the game's deveolpement and paid $30 more than the price of the final copy.

The winter update is awesome! I was hoping they would give us a snow texture to use in the game, and the arctic biome has amazing lighting!

Everybody needs to stop talking about paying for DLC. If you do then there is probably less chance of anymore updates like this Winter Update we have gotten for free. Then there will complaints all the time about having to pay for something that we didn't previously.
Just stop, let everything just happen and stop talking about whether you will pay for something or not. Keep it to suggestions on what you'd like to see and not whether it should be paid or free.

But to actually be on topic, unlike half the posts here talking about their willingness to pay for things, very happy that you got another update out so quick. In fact, you guys have been very quick with updates since release so just thank you for the updates in general!
I won't be expecting another update before Christmas, but it wouldn't surprise me if another comes early next week before everyone goes on break.

I will pay any update which will be over the 99 themes they promised us @ the beginning of this journey! So for the 100th theme yes I´m ready to pay.

That was never promised. It was just a misconception. But you can wait for the 99th free theme nevertheless[redface]
