Planet Coaster 2 | Update 2 OUT NOW!!

First of all: Thank you for the update, the improved communication and listening to feedback so well. I do not take that for granted and I can see the work and effort that has been put into this update. I appreciate it.

At the same time, this enormous bug fix list is further proof that the game was released in an unacceptable stage for a premium price.
I do not expect a bug free game at launch - that is nearly impossible. But the release of Planet Coaster 2 in this state was an inexcusable desaster and I really hope Frontier learned from this and finds back to releasing quality main games and quality DLCs from now on. May it be JWE3, a potential PZ2 or whatever you have in store for us. But this can never happen again.

That said I will try my best and start the game tomorrow, in the hopes that new expiriences can override past ones with this game. Ngl, I have to force myself to play, because so many tings changed from previous Planet games and not for the better. But I'm still willing to give this another go, and may it be so that my pre-ordered deluxe version game I paid for does not go to waste.

Ok, well... what an update after 3 months.
You seem very happy and I am sure you've worked hard to fix all the problems because there's a lot.
I am sorry but I'm very disappointed because I've paid the Deluxe Edition as I love this franchise.

So you call it an update? I will better call it a downgrade on the console editions.
The videos on TVs are crashing the game... we can't add new pieces on a scenery group now.
Do you test your game on console before releasing an update?
This is amazing and unbelievable that nobody saw those bugs.

Please Frontier... listen to the community... everybody wants a toggle button to quit the kerbs on the path and other good ideas (all lights triggerable).
So custom videos was a priority?... also it doesn't work on console, what a strange roadmap.

I am very disappointed and sorry to be rude because I usually love your games.
I have the feeling that you only think about PC players, it's ok, no worries... so don't sell it on console as you did on PlanCo 1 (at the beginning)

So... waiting an update of this amazing update now.

I understand your frustration that PlanCo 2 still needs a lot of work to get it a point that seems stable and finished. To say that Frontier isn't listening because they haven't implemented the thing you want is disingenuous though. They have been delivering improvements with each patch. We all want Frontier to fix, change, polish, and finish parts of the game as soon as possible. Curbs are a big priority to you, but custom video and audio were priorities to other people just like how separate load and unload stations were to me.

100% incorrect

I wish it was true tho, we would get all the quality of life improvements and UI fixes and (multi)selection fixes

They are just all over the place and lack a good leader, someone who knows a thing about PC gaming.

The video bill boards is probably just what their marketing person decided. "It looks like a cool new feature we could advertise" but the problem is that the game is still broken and not enjoyable and a step backwards so it doesnt really matter what new feature they add that they can advertise if the game is still clunky and not enjoyable. I have never in my life launched a game so many times only to close it down again minutes later because there is something new that irritates me.

Custom billboards are one of the last features I would add to this game.

Highest priority is that everything that already exists in the game is working correctly! No other opinion is valid in this point...

Issue/bug fixing should get completed as soon as possible (even between) monthly updates.

And again "free" update creates a feeling that Frontier is providing it as a gift instead of a correction of their failures...

The only thing we can do is to wait and even wait any longer until this game is working as it should have done at release. This day will come... (hopefully soon)

I use a steam deck to play PC2 and have been experiencing more bugs than I ever had before.

For one example, Guests get stuck n all over the place, especially by the pool and flumes. They aren't riding the rides, they just clump up by the dozens by the changing rooms and the pools are constantly over-crowded. They get stuck on the pool extras, somehow, and can't figure out how to walk around them. it's all very strange.

Another major inconvenience is that my workshop subs are constantly disappearing, and not because I haven't updated them. I've had to download the same ones several times, which is incredibly frustrating, with how slow and hard to navigate it is.

Most annoying is that there seems to be little to no organization to the categories. . I find rides in scenery, and vise versa (find scenery items with my rides). I'm guessing it has something to do with the way things are tagged, but it happens even when I am not using any search filters.

Since update 2, I got a strange behaviour while in coaster building mode.
Especially at the log flumes I noticed that there's nearly uncontrollable special piece selection jumping... It's something with the mouse wheel. Outside the game I can set it endless scrolling (free rotation) or x lines scrolling. Inside the game it keeps this setting. Any wheel movement makes the special piece selection is going crazy.

Otherwise I want to keep the scrolling setting for the endless lines while in scenery selection...

Frontier workshop issues remain a thing
