Planet Coaster fps problem

I agree with this, I can't see any improvement on the FPS of the Pixel Studios park. But my new (not published yet) park seems a bit smoother but no fps improvement. But the question is? What can we do to make it better?

- less small buildings? (Example: a bridge existing out of 20 'buildings')
- Trees, plants, decoration separate in the park or linking to a building?

Can you give us some do's and don'ts?

I would be interested in knowing this as well. I believe however that it doesn't really make a difference.

Yeah I dont expect it to make a big difference too except when editing the building of course.

I just try to keep it at 1000 to 4000 pieces max per building

I went from an amd fx-8150 to an intel i7 6700k and I gained like the double of the fps I had in a park with 5000 guests. (also 16gb ram ddr3 to 16gb ram ddr4 paired to a geforce 970)

I actually stopped working on that park because it was unplayable while twitching. Am happy to say I can now work on it without problems.

I would like to bring this park has a test for the Dev team

I have a GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8Go DDR5X + 32 gb ram and Intel Skylake Processeur Core i7-6700K 4.0 GHz on Win10 pro so pretty decent computer.

On this park but the problem is the same on mine, I have 4 fps when the park is open with guest, 9 fps when the park is on hold with guest.

12 fps when the park is on hold with no guest and 10 if open with no guest.

And the map is not full...

What must be remove from this park to make it playable again ?

I mean just look at all the scenery objects on the park and you have your answer as to why the FPS is so bad, there is nothing the devs can do about that

You sell a car who can reach 200 km/h, but if you reach it the engine will burn. The first things to do is to warn the car owner when he's approach the 200 line no ?

No. But the game offers you no limit on how much you can add. Maybe it should give you a warning, but really, it should be common sense that more objects = more calculations.

More like you build a car that can reach 200 km/h but you will go through gas a lot faster (common sense) same also applies here, more you put in the park the more you lose fps

Agreed but you need to know in how many time you will run out of gas to avoid it :)

Except thats a question that can't be answered. The game is run on many different hardware configurations so that limit is going to be different for everyone.

You could build your own Disneyland, and as soon as it starts dropping in FPS you know where the limit is.
Then start a new random park and the limit is at a different point because of the difference between the parks.

It's still a guessing game in the end.

(message to all) -- for me 45 seconds to load, i get a solid 30 FPS and fluctuates up to 60 on 'ultra' preset with 1080p @60Hrtz. its great we have the ability to make such things, and that city is very awesome and impressive, but is relatively small with very few rides, where is the amusement park anymore? people are going way too overboard to make a neat little town but little rides and coasters.... this is a coaster sim, not simcity. until the i9 becomes common place and cheap having a park look this cool AND be fun/functional is just not possible. what good is it to make something like this when it is unplayable or even unviewable to most?
( 7gen i7 7700, 32GB ddr4 ram, 11GB ddr5 video ram, GTX1080ti )

i don't put many buildings in my park for this reason, most of my buildings are at the front gate or part of a coaster, 5 years from now, we will look back and this issue will be long gone.

Funny thing, have an i7 7700k myself, and it never comes close to maxing out (70% at best). But my 8GB GTX 1070 seems to be the one getting in trouble, as everything else is breezing through. Might be due to the driver, might be too little capacity, maybe something else.
