Just to confirm the update isn't realistically going to be available for another 12 hours or so. Hell they're still working on the Steam build now and it's 2.30AM at Frontier HQ [wacky]

Wow! Really? I didn't know that they had a night crew for this! That's soo cool! I am going to follow this thread till about midnight US EDT time to watch for any updates. I am pretty positive that you are right. But who knows, things can change if everything goes well without a hitch! XD

Oh yeah! Almost forgot! I wasn't here for the winter update so I am not sure how it will appear. Does the game update automatically when I open it up or do I have to go to the website and download it from a link? How will I know when the update is available?

It should update automatically next time you run it. I'm curious, are there any more content updates planned this year? Maybe a summer or fall update? I would love a beach themed update, and a horror themed update in the future.

They always release during the day so nothing will be available tonight unfortunately. Usually they don't have people working overnight but seems work still to be done to meet the deadline, can imagine AndyC (or equivalent) with coffee in hand falling asleep at his desk. Yep when you open the game in Steam it will auto-download the update and then run as normal. They make an announcement on the forum just before it's about to be released confirming the time when it will be available.

It's Tuesday 11 April 8:14 pm NZT. Australia is like only 2 hours behind NZT (eg. Sydney). I guess this has all of a sudden become a Countdown Thread [happy]

Not home till tonight, no play time available till next week anyways but then I have my motorcycle back so it may be depending on weather. Can;t wait to see the feedback though on here.

Do I have to do anything or will it update automatically? Only just joined the planet coaster world a couple of weeks ago, so I'm not too sure how it works.

Edited- sorry, just read a few comments up and found the answer!

Soooo, what happened to the "Fence" system? I thought some sort of effort was being made to give us a proper fence system for paths, not the piece-by-piece system that we have to place and can't nicely place on bends and corners.

Nope that was never suggested by them or anything. A few asked if it was the case. Most replied saying no from everything shown. Do hope though that they are looking for this in a future update 1.3 maybe Frontier?

Fences, hedge rows, on toggle with snap to point lights?

Yeah, waste of time these fences are... good (partially) for straight paths only. Pointless really.... Apart from that, the patch has some nice bits :)
