Planet going THROUGH a white dwarf jet in a close binary system!

This system is insane!! This is pretty much the sight that greeted me when I arrived - that blue ring below the WD is a Class V gas giant orbiting the white dwarf at a distance of 0.4 ls, and in the screenshot it is going through the white dwarf's jet! The planet's orbital period is only 15 minutes! I'm literally recording a video of it right now - I'll post it up here as a reply when I capture a full orbital period and then I'll take a look at the stats in more details. Amazing stuff though! Has anyone ever seen anything like this (I sure as heck haven't!)?

EDIT: I can now reveal the location of this system! It is... BLAA PHOE NC-D D12-230 . Go take a look, CMDRs! :)

Aw yeah, awesome find! Can't wait to see the video. Once you turn in your data please post the system name, I'd love to check that out.

Wish that was a landable planet!!! [big grin]

Here's its orbit:

This is as close as I could get to it - it's still 2 ls away! But it's inside the WD's exclusion zone. :(

And here's a longer distance view: (the lighting seems to have switched here from the WD to the M dwarf, oddly enough)

Dat gas giant gon' get messed up.

I've never seen anything like that before. Inside the exclusion zone no less!

Oh wow. I just realised something - the planet's orbital period is faster than the white dwarf's rotational period, which means that the planet is in a death spiral and will crash into the WD at some point soon! (at least it would if tidal forces were a thing in ED). That's even more awesome! :)

Wha....

How...

Even...that's just insane. Great find Op! I certainly wouldn't have the guts to get anywhere near that thing, haha!

But but exploration is boring!
Just kidding, of course. Excellent find there! Looking forward to getting the location and visiting it sometime.
I do wonder if this was generated due to any bugs in the Stellar Forge, or if it's working as intended and we're witnessing the last moments of a gas giant that's spiraling into the white dwarf. Well, once we have the data, we should be able to see if it's on a stable orbit or not.

Technically that GG shouldn't even exist - it's well within the WD's Roche Limit of 1.38 million km and should at best be a ring system (if it's even stable because of the onslaught from the jets and the proximity of the M V companion).

Despite being a pew-pew chap I have a bit of a knack for nailing screenshots...but yeah, that's top stuff there.
