Planet is unsuitable for planetary facilities

FDEV, I just completed a Tier 2 Coriolis in HIP 5480. My Coriolis station is orbiting a Rocky Body moon which also orbits a HMC world. I just completed the build this afternoon on the Coriolis and renamed the starport as Aidan's Halo. A few hours later I went to try to add a Refinery Hub on the moon that the station is orbiting. The game will not allow me to do this as it gives me a message that the body will not support the placement of any planetary facility. The moon is landable so I am assuming that this is just a bug. Hopefully it will be resolved with the new Trailblazer 3 Patch. If not can you look into the matter and get back to me. Thanks.

On your architect screen there will be a building icon on suitable worlds and a summary of how many locations are available at the bottom of the screen.

Are you experiencing an error or a reason no one else claimed the system?

Well, In my opinion this is a screw up by FDEV. Yes I may have missed the surface temp issue. But as far as FDEV goes. Why the F would you place a primary starport location Flag and All over a Dead World!

Its useless for colonization purposes. If that stands. I'm done with colonization.

Because it's procedurally generated, and FDEV haven't curated the results of that for 400b star systems?

But more seriously, many primary ports of established systems don't even orbit a planet. Why would colonisation be different?

he does have some other (clearly marked) surface slots:

That's interesting - looks like those two are HIP 5480 BC 1 and HIP 5480 BC 2, which both have temperature around 690. A bit higher than I've seen for planets with surface slots before. I wonder if the upper limit is fixed or depends on other factors?

Infuriating, as I can well understand. Not carefully inspecting the architect view of a system before embarking on a major build is the ultimate "read the fine print" gotcha. The information is clearly there for you to base your decision on all the same.

Never mind, colonisation isn't time-limited and there's no way of running out of systems while the game is still around.

I understand the Gotcha moment and I take full responsibility for overlooking the planetary heat issue. With that being said, this is a game and FDEV I'm am sure has their hands full with all the other issues that a game like this has developing all the time. I am also aware that this whole colonization thing is new to the game and it's a feature that is only in beta right now. Just asking for someone to look at it and set it right. If it sticks as is right now. So be it. I'm 73 years young and I have learned things the hard way all my life.

By Wednesday, the Rocky moon's planetary influence will override the orbiting Coriolis' economy type (Colony) to Refinery. We're not sure yet if it will be Refinery/Colony or pure Refinery. We'll know by Wednesday post-patch.

I'm guessing FD didn't think to set different building limitations between Horizons or Odyssey structures, and just went with whether you can walk on the surface without burning to death, dispite there being thousands of Horizons installations and ports on planets that far exceed 690K.
