Rare spire formations. I thought all these had been smoothed over?
This is Ariel in the Sol system. You can seen crescent Uranus in the background.
Maybe Ariel avoided the Great Smoothing because it is not randomly generated?

Formations affected by the smoothing were generally much taller and almost vertical, because they resulted from a specific type of bug in the terrain generator. Those I’ve seen did not look like your screenshots (which are very nice, BTW) at all.

Ariel is randomly generated, as are all landable moons in Sol (which is why they look at best vaguely – and often not at all – like their real-life counterparts).

Gentlemen I have a question.Before I could just insert photo's on these pages by selecting files but thats no longer possible?
Sure I can use Imgur but how you guys stick photos directly on the page?

Unfortunately my favourite planetary picture no long exists. It was on photobucket, but alas.. In Sol, High Mars Orbit during Alpha testing. Oh how times have changed :)

Once you have picked whatever hosting site, like Imgur, then you get the sites link address for that picture and just copy n paste it into your post. Most sites have links already pre tagged with

. If this isn't the case either add them yourself, or use the add picture button in the advanced options when posting.

Sorry for it not beeing a screenshot, i have yet to find a deeper ice canyon yet , this one was not that bad but i use to find better ones few mounth ago so i'll redo it for sure,
