Horizons Planet showcase - post your most beautiful shots that you are really proud of

I got past 20km and then started to worry about how I might get back down :ROFLMAO:
A fellow squadron mate decided to go all the way into space, no idea how he managed to get back down.
Nice!

He wouldn't unless he had help, you lose srv control at 30km altitude and it always boosts you up anyway, need a friend in a ship to nudge down or help you lose speed.

my first big expedition with "Distant Worlds 2", two screenshots on my way back.

When you send your fleet carrier to a Neutron star, it parks it .01 light second away. So far I've not been swept up into the cone of death when in supercruise heading to my carrier. But DAMN, that's close! You're inside the circumference of the cone's base.

.01LS = 1,862.82 miles = 2,997.92 Kilometers

<it seems my hotel internet is to buggy to upload pictures. I'll edit them in later>
<looks like my issue was they were .png files and not .jpg. So file size maybe?>

That's bloody cool.
Although I don't think I'd risk this, personally, even if I did have a carrier and money to burn. :LOL:
