A few forum members and I have gotten together to start a Metawishlist for species that people would like to see in a hypothetical sequel to Planet Zoo. Participants are welcome to post one list of 50-200 animals. This list can include species currently in Planet Zoo and others they would like to see. The larger list size should accommodate other types of additions such as aquatic species and flying birds.
Rules:
Rules:
- Users shall post one list containing the English common names of 50-200 species they would like to see in Planet Zoo 2.
- There is only one vote per species per list; all others of that species will be ignored.
- Lists may contain species currently in Planet Zoo, species not yet added to Planet Zoo, traditional habitat animals, domestics, exhibit-type animals, flying birds, and aquatic animals.
- Lists may not contain extinct species, humans, cryptids/fantastical animals, or animals smaller than 5 mm (no microorganisms).
- Do not specify the breed of domestic animals; just put 'domestic' in front of the animal type (i.e. vote for 'domestic chicken' instead of 'silkie chicken')
- Lists should not include subspecies (i.e. vote for 'tiger' instead of 'bengal tiger') or generic votes(i.e. vote for 'grey wolf' instead of 'wolf').
- Our general plan is to lump subspecies in with species, and generic votes will go towards the species with the highest vote for inevitable mistakes.
- Please do your best to limit this as it makes a lot more work for us, and there will be a general list anyway if you're worried about splitting the vote.
- If you are interested in specific breeds or subspecies for a sequel, that will be covered in a separate discussion.
- We reserve the right to ignore any entry that violates the rules.
- This list is intended to track the species that forum members would like to see in a potential sequel. While the accidental inclusion of subspecies and general picks is inevitable, please try to vote at the species level.
- Do not include extra text (i.e. no Latin names or explanations; put them below the list if you want to include them)
- Please do not use the words 'any' or 'or' to indicate general wishes. Especially, do not use descriptive words instead of species names (i.e. vote for a species of monkey, not 'Indian monkey' or vote for clownfish instead of 'orange striped fish'). General votes with qualifying phrases and 'or' votes are extremely difficult to process with our system, and they will be the first to be ignored.
